Just got back yesterday from Vegas and the USA's.
Richard Jones won the light heavyweight by beating out Kris Dimm and then went on to win the overall. Many commented that he's a taller Shawn Ray. Very thin waist and great symmetry.
Mark Dragna won the Heavyweight division and got the runner up.
Chris Cook won the Super's but didn't get his pro card due to Mike beating him. The crowd really didn't like this decision.
The light heavy class was the best by far though. I thought the top 3 there looked better than the top 3 of the other 2 bigger classes.
Ahhhh what else - I'm operating on 5hrs sleep for the whole weekend so this post is taking a while. Craig Titus's after party at the Venetician was very kewl. A lot of massively huge people there.
supergirl was there and she's an absolute sweetheart. I shall be awaiting the competition pics in Oct.
Side note: Kris Dimm really needs to quit doing the USA's. He won the light hvy last year but lost out to Troy Alves as the runner up. He's also missed it by a point or two at the Nationals and the USA the year before. But because the USA's only award the top 2 instead of each class winner like the Nationals I think he needs to focus on that. The guy definitely deserves to win pro.
Also, I think I'll be planning a huge get together for the Olympia in Oct for anyone that wants to go.
