How is having a base in compound lifts "rocket science"? Do you disagree that you should not base your workouts in compound lifts?
Is close grip bench a compound movement?

so what are you saying....that on chest day you should ...do tris?
It sounded to me like you stated this was gospel...wtf..

Again, how can you do chest without triceps unless you're only doing isolation?

Sorry bro but let me jump in here.....

You CAN work the chest without too much tricep involvement....establish a mind-muscle connection and don't lockout on reps...use a ROM that places constant stress on the chest

That's true, but it still works the triceps pretty good (but it's a very good chest movement). Just like when you do close-grip bench, you put more emphasis on the triceps, but you still work the pectorals pretty good.

Now, the better question is why you would want to do chest and triceps on different days.

In a bench movement you will never be able to take the triceps out of the excersise

You do the compound lifts, then you hit the isolation of the muscles you want to improve afterwards. Compound lifts give a better hormonal response and you use more weight.

no flies hit your rotator cuffs

This is the most retarded debate I've ever been in...well, maby krieg in the diet forum with his fat bastard diet takes the cake (haha, pun intended).

So you're saying flies don't hit the delt or forearm? Guess what, you're wrong.

What is your point? What are you trying to say? That you shouldn't have a base in compound lifts?
