Rowing Machines

Would you class going on a rowing machine for 20 minutes as cardio or as part of a weight training exercise?
Because I used it today as part of my cardio routine, but while on there I thought to myself
" shit I couldn't do this after one of my upper body training days

I would never row for cardio because it would be muscle taxing, but its not exactly hypertrophic.

My mom bought a rowing machine for cardio and the only thing it did was build some massive shoulders for her . . . .

Like Mudge said: "Never row for cardio"

I would consider rowing a poor choice for bodybuilding because of the intensity, but to say not do it for cardiovascular strength would be plain wrong as its one of the best all round. Depends on goals and assuming thats bodybuilding being as youre here, stick to something less intensive, unless youre doing some HIIT type thing.

I really want to bulk up, but althought I'm eating and training to grow, I could do with losing some of my body fat as quickly as possible.
I haven't been able to train for a year, so I've got a more fat over my abs than I care for. But definetly dont think it's worth cutting and losing weight, only to start bulking all over again.
would rather grow, while cutting fat if I can
