Hiya folks. :)

Here is a quick & easy way to make homemade salsa. It's SO much better then the canned salsa! Jarred salsa is always cooked... I like adding it to grilled foods, burritos, tacos, meats, soups, eggs and beans!

Now if you have time you could Roast the tomatoes, garlic and/or the pepper first will lend a rich, smoky flavor. If you cook the salsa, you'll trade in the fresh taste for a deeper, sweeter one.

3 medium roma tomatoes
1/2 medium onion
4 sprigs of cilantro
2 cloves of garlic
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon fresh lemon or lime juice
1 jalapeno pepper

Combine ingredients and chill for at least an hour before serving. Instead of chopping all the ingredients, I place them in my food processor and pulse for only a few seconds.

If you like the flavor of these, add them in!

Mangos
Melon
Peaches or Nectarines
Pineapple
Kiwis
Plums
Oranges -
Cucumbers - refreshing
Bell peppers
Jicama
Radishes
Fresh corn - sweet
Avocado
Beans
Olives
Mint
Basil
Parsley
Cumin
Ginger - spicy

Cover and store refrigerated for up to 1 week. Hope you enjoy this salsa-recipe! :D
