Sauna makes cycle even better?

Hey guys so ive been working out at a gym with a sauna and steam room. I know that when your core body temp raises the capillaries dilate and increase blood flow, should i make this part of my every day routine while on gear? Just curious on anyone's personal experiences with this. I get sweating pretty good within 5-10 minutes of sitting in the room. is there any negative effects of say 20 minutes per day while cycling a test only cycle? will be drinking about 6 liters of water per day. ive read on this online already just looking for more input. seems like it may give an extra edge in definition and nutrition delivery after a workout. ?

This strategy did not work all the well for a guy named Zyzz , who was on gear and visiting the steam room and sauna regularly . died in the sauna of a heart attack at age 22
- this practice can increase your resting heart rate and make it work harder then it needs to.

- and if you can't get enough blood flow from the workout itself, you're doing something wrong

Blood flow during the workout is fine, when im done im stiff as a board and feel like Herc. Just looking for extra edges on top of the steroid. I looked at Zyzz wikipedia reports he has some un-diagnosed CHD, thats pretty scary he probably shouldnt have been using gear at all. depending on the severity which im not sure to what level he had. All the same sad to see a brother go out like that.

If your completely healthy and not worried about any cardiac related issues, there may be some benefit to sauna use post workout . if there are any concerns though, I would not make a habit of doing it too much as again the continued long term use can cause the heart to work slightly harder.

buy a pulse oximeter. wear it and monitor your pulse rate and oxygen uptake during your sauna sessions. if over time your pulse begins to raise higher and higher, without any increase in effort on your part, then your heart is working harder to maintain.

again, if your healthy and have no issues, there may be some benefit to post workout sauna sessions. I personally use my hot tub about an hour to two post workout, just to help with the achy joints though , not for any additional 'blood flow' from the heat.

Saunas are awesome!!

Where I live most people have them. It's in our Finish roots.

I like to get mine nice and hot about 170-180 is nice. But I feel much better taking one at least a few hours after training. And only 2 or 3 times a week.

I've noticed if I jump in after training that My heart rate goes up more than I'm comfortable with for just sitting still.

But on the flip side I can definitely see a difference how my muscles look after sweating my ass off. And you come out cleaner than ever from pushing all the crap out of your pores.

'Bold' - so true . now add on top of that your anabolics. if your running Tren , or a heavy bulking stack like test, dbol, deca at high dosages, and your 'anabolic' as Fuk, and just sitting at room temperature can be difficult, let alone being in a sauna !

I totally agree. The high heat brings the heart rate up. Getting in the sauna with a high heart rate from a hard workout then bringing it up more from the high temp. Can't be to good for ya. I got in my sauna just a couple weeks ago after going hard and I could tell my body wasn't digging that to much.

I'm no doctor but I would have to say it's a big no go immediately after training.

Ill get the pulse oximeter to be safe. Ive been doing a few laps in the pool right after workout to cooldown (low intensity usually breast stroke or side) may help a bit im guessing. ( swimming is extremely easy for me) been doing it since 2yrs old, so i dont consider it a cardio workout in the case im just gliding... shoot it probably lowers my pulse haha. Good tips guys appreciate it.

Search for "Rhonda Patrick" and saunas. She's been on the Joe rogan podcast several times, and has her own. Her distilled information on hyperthermic conditioning is part of why I bought an infrared sauna.

I'm not a bodybuilder, just chasing performance (I'm in the top 3-4% in my age group in Crossfit) and found tha sauna helpful. Consistent use lowered my resting pulse and increased my aerobic performance. While in the sauna, the stress will elevate your pulse obviously, but it's similar to training in that regard.

I used it 4-5 times a week for a while, now do 1-1.5 hours a week. Usually get 30-45 minutes immediately after a low intensity steady state aerobic session.

There's a ton of info out there and Rhonda Patrick's stuff is worth a listen for sure!

All this sauna talk and I had to fire mine up. I could barely last twenty minutes I had it blazing.

I feel so relaxed after for me there's nothing better to help wind down the day with
