Saw a New Endo today.....................

Came back from an Endo appointment thru a new GP. Saw all my blood work. He knew I was on TRT for 2.5 yrs and stayed off TRT for 16 months. Told him I used small dose ADEX E3D 0.25 mg while off and that my bloodwork was done while on it...
He examined me. He was asking me what type of exercise I do and if I "bodybuild"....
told him I'm physically active and not a bodybuilder....he looked kind of judgemental.
He saw my Blood work for T.T. between 259-288 ng/dl....
told me to stay like that as it is not "abnormally low"....and just use my CPAP machine.
He asked me about my "sexual potency"....told him no energy, no sex drive, brain fog, tired all the time.
He couldn't care.
He lectured me on ADEX....said: "you know what Arimidex is used for, it's for breast cancer, why are you taking it? men don't have that much estrogen in their body"
who knows if any of this stuff can give you some type of cancer some day in the future (he was talking about HCG, ADEX, or T shots)....
Says to me "your Testosterone is not abnormally low, I'm going to refer you to a male health expert/urologist"....
this guy had to be the worst Endo....
I went tot his guy cause my doc would have gotten pissed had I not gone.
He basically told me my T levels were great and totally dismissed me.
I didn't want to go this doc, but since my GP referred me, I had to go ....also they would bill me if I canceled appointment.

dude why are you dicking around with these endos?? are you not in the US?? hit IMT up

That sucks Apollon, but at least he has referred you on to someone who may know their stuff!
Good luck bro

I just went there for an opinion as he is an Endo my long time(teenage years) GP recommended I see.
The Endo my newer GP gave me was a little better than this guy. He actually ordered some tests and gave me his advice on staying on the HCG monoprotocol (which has my BIO T in upper high range).
He told me after I'm done with kids to hop on T and that he would be there for me if needed.

In Canada, you need to be in real bad shape to get prescribed T from most conventional Endos. I've been working out for some months and dropped 30 pounds....so naturally he sees that and my build which were obvious huge red flags for him.
Stereotyping.......

Your average endo SUCKS when it comes to androgenic hormones. I went to one who was supposed to be good. He didnt know anything. Most of these guys have spent their entire careers working on thyroid disorders and diabetes.

I would report the insensitive little bastard to the medical board. Also do a search on him on-line and leave mega negative feed back on any webpage you can find his name.

His ratings are bad on a public forum. I already filed a complaint against my previous GP. This guy was the worst. Just gets up and walks out, he said: "bye" at the end as he had his back turned and walked out.
"not abnormally low"...??
range for TT: 8.4-28 nmol/l
And I've been between 6.4-10.1 nmol/l for 16 months following a break from TRT....
and LOW Free Testosterone on both blood labs 25.8 and 26 pmol/l (range:31-94 pmol/l)
sick!
asks me if I bodybuild. Says any treatment for low T can cause cancer and best not to take anything.
sickening!

Endos are clueless when it comes to trt, thats why they look down on it. We mock what we dont understand. I think, as a group, we should start advising current and potential trt users to never see an endo for specialized trt care. If you can get one to prescribe testosterone, odds are they wont be willing to prescribe hcG, and to an even lesser extent, an aromatase inhibitor. In my opinion, these are two extremely important facets of trt, and I consider it very bad practice to prohibit or severely restrict the use of them. For instance, just because Arimidex was originally created for use in breast cancer treatment, it does not mean that it does not have a tangible "off label" level of usage. Most trt clinics and some gp's understand the usefullness of these ancillary drugs, however 99% of endos in the world either dont know or dont care.

The 2 Endo's I've seen so far eyes have bulged open when they saw my packet for ADEX with script label on it. 1 got really nervous and said he's not too sure of the long term safety effects of it and to stop it immediately and just continue with either HCG/ or T. Told him I'm concerned about the increased risks of elevated E2 from my therapy, he paused....told him I'm concerned with its potential role in prostate health.
He told me Testosterone is the one that causes the big C.
These guys are clueless. He doesn't even test for Estradiol.

Yeah, the sad part is, this science is very very important and useful for the aging population, not to mention natural testosterone levels are dropping like crazy every decade. Trt aint worth it in my opinion, without AI and Hcg. This is the kind of stuff that drives men to seek underground sources of chems and put their health at risk because they can't stand how they feel anymore. Hopefully with the coming years, good TRT clinics and anti-aging services become more accesible to the general public. Endocrinology is a beautiful science, and my favorite. It's a damn shame that these docs who call themselves endocrinologists dont know SHIT. It actually pisses me off. It's their jobs to know about EVERY hormone, and the latest treatment options and research. It disgusts me how little they know and how close-minded they are.

You hit the nail on the head!
And when you want to make a case to your GP on your low energy e.t.c. and you have low normal T and you get a referral to an Endo from him. If that Endo says "the levels are normal"....even if they are 1nmol/L (30 ng/dl) over the very bottom.
You are totally screwed. Most close mined GP's don't listen to anyone but Endo's.

Yeah, my GP is a bit open minded, so i like her. This guy didnt know shit. I think you could have better luck with a younger urologist. I spoke to one for the cialis, he even knew the reference ranges and optimal testosterone levels for my age off the top of his head. I think uro's have to care more about test because it can affect the genito-urinary system, prostate and erections. Endo's are too busy prescribing insulin and synthroid to old people. Sometimes i think they don't even remember what testosterone even does, you know besides "causing prostate cancer"

that's what this guy was....anti TRT. He just manipulated the situation to weasel out cause he probably does not treat anyone for hypogonadism unless they are in bad shape.
