Semen Analysis....anyone here ever do one?

Anyone here ever done a Semen Analysis?
Instructions say abstain no more than 7 days before test and no ejaculation for at least 48 hours.
If you go in on a Thursday....is ejaculation on previous Thursday too long a period to wait ?

I assume for fertility purposes and to see your sperm count? lol.

Apollon has had a hard time sorting his TRT/RESTARTS out and im sure somewhere along the track this would have interfered one way or another with his spermatogenesis

Yeah but after I spoke to a new GP today he told me the same thing and gave me a requisition for it.
He told me to get dialed in with T shots if I cannot raise my endogenous T thru HCG/Clomid.

I've had a sperm analysis in the part when my wife and I were going through fertility treatments. The recommendation is to ejaculate 2-3 days prior to the test and then abstain. Abstaining for a week wouldn't be ideal from my understanding.

says you can abstain up to 7 days prior to test but no more.....and nothing 48 hours before test.

Just telling you what I was told for most accurate results. Your dr or lab could certainly have different protocols.

I have had one after going through chemo and radiation treatment. The protocol was different when I had mine done, this is the standard protocol now but every place might have a different one!

avoid ejaculation for 24 to 72 hours before the test
avoid alcohol, caffeine, and drugs such as cocaine and marijuana two to five days

24 hours is too little....
minimum is 48 hours of abstinence.
