Shelf-Life of Whey?

Does Whey have a shelf-life? Is there a point when it goes "bad"?

I have a bottle from about a little over a year ago (opened). Does it still have the same protein content?

It doesn't have an expiration date on the bottle...

Dont take the risk. Protein is rather inexpensive and you might do your stomach justice by chucking it out.

if the taste is plastic

you don't like your shake ,if is still powder with not a decolored then it's good.

A dry product can last 5 years,depending of cie. Some cie put a shelf life of 2 to 4 years. After that the protein absorb the flavour like strawberry after a year in the container they taste not strawberry anymore.
