shooting into front delts??

Anyone have any experience with this??? Are there any Main Arteries I would have to watch for or anything???

why shoot in the anterior delts, out of curiosity? there is the subclavicle artery, which i doubt you could hit, i dont know whats around that area without looking at a diagram.

I want to shoot in anterior delts because my medial delts are still a little sore from the last injection....

I do rotate sites.....I've gone in both delts....both quads and both glutes....but all are still slightly tender...and I didn't want to shoot where I can still barely feel the last shot

I don't want to spot inject like in the bi's and tri's and stuff...just wondering about the front delt.....maybe the rear delt??? what about that one?

nutri....J did that a while back and hit something fierce... blood came out everywhere and he ruined a pair of pants it bled so bad

I'm not saying bi's and tri's are hard....I'd just rather not shoot there....I want to stick to the delts quads and glutes.

btw....my question was not...."where else can I shoot?" I just want to know if it's safe to shoot in the anterior deltoid. If I could just get a few answers to that question, that would suffice....thanx

Roadhouse....thanx for actually answering my question....do you know where I could find some sort of diagram or anything to find the artery in the anterior delt???

Yes, it is safe. I use all three heads of the deltoid. Just watch your angle, and the length and depth of your needle. It's not rocket science. I limit the volumes injected as well, 1 to 1.5cc.

thanx buffdoc...I'll only be shooting .75 cc's into each head at a time.... Also, this is homemade prop that I'm shooting and I had to up the BA %age to keep it in solution. so it stings a good bit.

I only use slin pinz in my delts... could I go too far with one?

Also, what do you mean by the angle....do I need to go in at an angle or are you saying to stay away from that....I always try to go in at 90 degrees (or as close to that as possible)

I like to use shorter needles for front delts, too. The angle should be oblique, I come in from lateral to medial, at about a 45 to 30 degree angle, but that's with a 1" pin. With a 1/2" pin, go 90 degrees, straight in, you'll be fine.

BTW, about that prop: I use about 10% BB in mine, and can get by with about 2 to 3% BA. Nice and painless.

yeah, I tried to keep it down to 5%...with more BB... but it kept crashing....so finally I just added another cc of BA

I use a 25g 1 inch for front delts, a slin pin doesnt go deep enough. Thats the trick with front delts, go just deep enough to get inside the muscle, too shallow and youll have a big ugly lump, just right and you look like you just did a set of 50 reps of front raises, for a couple days. Ive shot 1cc of prop in there, talk about swelling!! After you shoot, grab a 5 lb DB and do some front raises, this seems to help me form getting a lump.
