Short bulk cycles

Everytime I run a cycle it seems like whether it be a short ester or a long ester my receptors saturate quickly and I make massive amounts of gains for the first few weeks, then they diminish to almost nothing and no matter how much I increase my calories I just end up maintaining for the most part. I am just wondering if anybody else comes across this for themselves? I feel like it almost may be more beneficial for me to run short 4 week - 6 week short ester cycles so as to reduce off time so I can free up my receptors for the next upcoming cycle.

Negative. Receptors up regulate so you have more and make more on gear. It's cals or training, short bulks a waste, fast come is quick to leave

For example, I am coming into my 5th week of a dbol (not much point as a kicker I know but I had some left over), test prop, npp bulk cycle and in the first 3 weeks I put on almost 30 lbs with only a 500 caloric surplus as well as 60 lbs on my bench dead and squat respectively. Then as anticipated this previous week my weight gain has quickly stalled to nothing as well as the cessation of any strength and size gains. Most people would just say ride it out but on previous cycles where I have done this I end up just wasting gear it seems like by maintaining what I got in the first month but not making any more substantial gains.

You didn't gain even close to 30 lbs of muscle in that time so you either are bloating from water weight real quick and counting that as gains, which will increase strength also.

What's your bf%, in real numbers, I bet your estro is sky high and it's 99% water. Are you using an AI? I know guys who make good gains in 8-10 weeks but they are lean. That amount in that short of time is water.

Get labs and check your estro I bet it's high, and if your bf is high you have more aroma taste enzymes to convert T to E.

Im on .5 mg eod arimidex. And yes I know for a fact that its water weight too but what I'm saying is in previous experience I haven't had much success putting on quality lean body mass past the initial burst of gains so to speak in the first few weeks where the gear freshly binds to the vacant receptors. I would increase my calories but I don't want to put on unwanted fat to try and squeeze gains out of a cycle that isn't going anywhere. Bodyfat % is 14% it was 11% at the beginning of the cycle. Do you guys just bump the cals when you hit a pleatau on cycle?

gratz for this thread and i couldnt agree more with u lol... you did what i couldnt afraid of getting flamed by everyone but i agree with you COMPLETELY... this is a close friend of mine http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pwafmCxC_mU/TrxSPxpGxpI/AAAAAAAAHT0/cPvEvUYan4Q/s400/2011.JPG
and he always tells me that his bulking cycles are always 6-8 weeks and he only does long cycles for cutting 12-18 weeks

And i couldnt agree more... i have done 3 cycles, first 2 cycles were 8 weeks long and i had gains up to week 7 +-

On my third cycle i used same Test 250 that i used on the previous 2 and EQ... so i read in here that its better to do long cycles with these compounds (at least 12 weeks+)... so i decided to follow the advices and i regret it lol... im 100% sure my diet is in check because i keep my bodyfat at 5-6% and i gained 1 lb of fat on this cycle along with 15 lbs of muscle but all my gains STOPPED completely by week 7 or 8... so i quit the cycle on week 11....

Having this experience i have come to the conclusion that the best bulking cycles are short ones... thats why for my next cycle i'll be using test e and npp for 6-8 weeks...

Also, most of my friends that i know run short cycles and they all seem to stop gaining weight or slowing down ALOT by week 6-8...

But maybe its just how each body works... i have friends who take test e and 90% of their gains come within the 4 first weeks and other friends where the gains only start on the 4th week
