And yeah, I don't see what the big deal is in a sport where practically everyone was doing what he did. Sounds to me like everyone was on a level playing field and he was still the superior athlete.

Concur with above. I'm not usually a "if your friends jumped off a bridge guy" but I think they just made an example of a hard working dude! Perhaps one the hardest working dudes ever.

yea reinstate him and how i see it how much more fun would a sport like football be if everyone was able to cycle without worrying. It would make the sport so much more exciting.
