Simple Diet, Canadian Style

I AM CANADIAN

New member
I wanted to come up with a simple diet that i could follow, i am looking to lose about 45 pounds (in 24 weeks), so that when i go on vaction on New Years, i can get some good ol'd American Beaver.

I am 24yrs old, into sports, but since i took this office job, i have let my body go to complete shit, i am 5"10ft, 215, guessing my BF% is around 28-30%.

6:30am - Cardio

7:00am - Oatmeal, Banana, Protien shake

10:00am - Chicken, brown rice, veggies

1:00pm - Chicken, brown rice, veggies

4:00pm - Chicken, brown rice, veggies

6:00pm - Gym

7:00pm - Protien Shake, Creatine

10:00pm - Cardio

10:30pm - Protien Shake

Question: Is it realistic to say that following this diet, training, and cardio, I can lose 45 pounds in 24 weeks, average 2 pounds a week?

P.S. All of my shakes are made with water.

What would you change? Add or remove?

Thanks for anybodys time and knowledge.

First off, if you are attempting to lose weight, cut down on the carbs - eat them early in the day and post-workout and never alone; add in fish at least 3 times per week; add in turkey and other forms of protein, not just chicken; watch what type of veggies you eat - some of them can be starchy, so be careful; at night, eat only protein and fat, which will help stabilize your nitrogen balance, insulin, and glucagon throughout the evening; and try to eat every 2 hours - some of those meals are spaced out too far.

For cardio, men start to burn fat after 20 minutes, so you should be doing cardio for longer than 20 minutes and try to keep your intensity and heart rate high to help your bodies thermogensis.

This is a start as to what I see that could be changed to increase the effectiveness of your plan and yes, anything is possible if you stick with it and dedicate yourself to the small goals that will get you to the final goal of 45 pounds.

Good luck.

Buddy, thank you so much for the info, fuck, i got a lot of learning to do.

So should i be eating every 2 hours?

I was going to switch the chicken every week, like 1st week Chicken 2nd week, turkey, 3rd week Lean beef, and then rotate.

I thought i was doing preety good with the no carbs @ night, as you see my last carbs are @ 4:00pm, should i stop carbs around noon?

Again Thanks a lot man, and any body else that has any input.

Take care.
