Size?

1-2reps trains the CNS
3-5 reps build strength
8-12 reps build muscle (hypertrophy)

This is what i've always been told anyway.

You can even consider training for size and strength, a strength program while eating for size is a good way to make solid gains in both strength and size.

Good point. Much easier to train for size and strength than one or the other.

is 8 reps really the magic number?i think you got to find a good routine for you and hit it.i think both heavy sets and higher rep sets should be included in any routine.
