Slow-burning carbs

DEATH to "The Club Boys"!
I know oatmeal, oat bran, buckwheat, buckwheat pancakes, red beans, and red potatoes are slow burners. Can you give me some more slow burning carbs?

thx

BTW
Check out the new Flex issue (Aug) on page 78 "Get ripped on high carbs"

The slow burners are what they recommend as your carb source.

Hahaha, pancakes???

Yams, oranges, peaches, pears, apples, plums (prunes), cherries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, apricot, carrots.

Some others that I really wouldn't recommend unless prepared properly: Almost any kind of bean and peanuts.

Thx frosty.

So as long as cardio is good and you don't over eat, fruit can be slow burners?

The fruits mentioned are slow burners independant of cardio.

Generally speaking, fruits grown in the northern US are low GI. The only one off the top of my head that doesn't fit this is grapes. Tropical fruits are the high GI ones, and this includes bananas, dates, pineapple, cantaulope, honeydew, papaya, mango, figs, etc.
