Becoming The BEAST!
Hello guys,
i have been smoking for some time now. I am starting a cycle soon so i want to stop smoking for all this cycle and hopefully be a non smoker after. Basically i have been smoking for years and i smoke a lot of weed. My stamina is shit. It is not that shit however because one of my friends who is same size and bf as me and has never smoked can do less rowing than me. Basically i wana up my STAMINA. WHat sort of exercises am i looking at? let me know
thanks guys

i recommend training at least 70% of your heart rate reserve for conditioning.

to find heart rate reserve:

220-Age = Age Predicted HRmax

HRmax - HRrest = HRreserve

for example:

if you are 25 years old and your heart rate at rest is 65, your Age Predicted HRmax is 195 (220-95=195) and your HRreserve is 130. (195-65=130)

70% HRreserve = 156 ((0.70 x 130)+65)
85% HRreserve = 175

I would just get out there and do whatever cardio you enjoy the most, be it running or biking or rollerblading or whatever. You've got to push yourself. You'll improve though and that will help motivate you.

Hello. One thing I love about this forum is the helpful people who are on it. grafixLSUalum how long do you reckon I should do what you are saying for? I like rowing so do you think about 15 minutes would be ok? Have you got this timetable written down anywhere, would sure appreciate it. Let me know
thanks

My parents both smoked for 25+ yeasr and tried everything there is to no avail. Then they used shantex (spelling?) and they instantly quit. Give it a shot.

I smoked for a long time. It just gets better with time. A week, a month, 2 months, 6 months, a year. You'll notice you progressively feel/get better. Just do your cardio, stay disciplined. Your lungs/cardio will probably never be the same as they could have been, but they'll get a hell of a lot better than they are now.
