That would be the majority of PT's in gyms, not all know what they're talking about but generally some have got sound knowledge on building muscle and strength. Again some not all.TERESKAN said:this would be like all he skinny guys that you get in the gym offering advice on bodybuilding, who would you listen to the skinny guy who has a degree and letters after his name or the guy that is a bodybuilder?

The guy that is a bb has a trainer who tells him what to eat, drink, what gear to take and how much to take, the bb brings his ass to the gym lifts weights and grows cause his gentetics are far superior to most when it comes to growing muscle.
TERESKAN said:1 I strongly believe that genetics only realy come into play when your talking about stepping onto a stage.
skarhead1 said:lack the body to back up my advice? Hrm... So i gained nearly 70 LBs since I started lifting. I guess I need to gain 100 to have "advice" status lmfao!!!! body builders are so dumb
skarhead1 said:Well you clearly don't have any experience training anyone or taking any real observations of other people. Which isnt a bad thing, but don't make blanket statements like that and try and pass them off as fact. Ive worked with at least 100 kids in the past year and if you don't think genetics really come into play unless stepping on stage... well, you're mistaken
skarhead1 said:in spite of the dumbasses here, every 6 mo nth or so im going to throw up pics of progress (even though i dont know much and probably wont get very far) just because I feel like it.
TERESKAN said:well i started lifting at 15 and since then I have gained prob about 140 lb , I also went through puberty and grew about 4 inches in height.
70 lb or not you still arn't that impressive!!
TERESKAN said:No your very right I have no expirience in training others but I still believe genetics are a crap excuse as to not gaining muscle , yes one guy might be able to gain 10lb of muscle quicker then the next person but they can both achieve a good body compared to the untrained person and the advantage of "good genetics" only really come into play when that person decides they want to step up to the next level.
