For 24 years i have hit my legs in anyway i could think of. At this point and actually for several years my legs have been stagnant. No real progress. At 44 i still can bang out 315 for as many as i want ( so to speak) my knees do pay the price though. My point is, or question is their a routine out their that can stimulate some growth and further enhance my stale leg work. Stats, 44, 5-7 185, on some growth and small cycle of enth. and eq.
Thank you gentlemen

how many grams of protein you eating a day? if your under 300 theres your answer.

also if you can do unlimited squats with 315 the try cutting reps back and hit 405 for 1 or 2 sets of 10. if you knees bothering you wrap um tight and make sure you going as deep as you can. at your size that should be well below parallel.

because you didnt post your leg routine and frequency it could also be overtraining. no way to tell from info given.

I haven't nailed squat form down myself, leg presses are whats working for me right now. My back gets used too much in squatting, unless I bring my feet pretty far in.

well first off i am under 300g of protein a day, probably 225 to 250, my typical workout or an example of one (1 day a week) is warmup 10 min for the knees, then 3 med weight sets leg ext. 15reps, then typically 135 to 315 or up to 365, my legs pump nicely but the result after is missing. Anyway, i will usually lung with 70lb dumbells or on the smith machine to failure, then leg curl. My sweep used to be outstanding even at a lower bodyweight, it always outdid my upperbody, now its the reverse. I am very aware of overtraining and as i get older i have tryed to get as much out of each set so i can cut the volumn down. Years ago, 2 leg workouts within 6 days was typical, and the were both heavy days, thats stupid youth though.

up your protein, cut the leg extensions and focus more on pressing exercises. less reps heavier weights. this will give you a good starting point anyway. good luck and keep us posted.
