Just curious if anyone knows how these work and if they are somewhat accurate?

I dont see anyway possible it could tell my exact body fat percent, but maybe an average for someone my gender, height and weight?

Is that how these work, just by doing math giving a rough estimate?

yes those things work by math calculations and if your retaining some water then it will give you a false estimate,..

Most decent ones use electro pulses. Kind of like sonar except with electrical current. That is why they ask you to wet your feet. As for accuracy I stick with hydrostatic chambers.
