As the titles states, I switched about the beginning of the year and man do I notice the difference in how I feel. Additionally I am making gains in the gym again. However I have an issue. At my previous trough my testosterone was 600. This last time it was 1100!

I see the doctor tomorrow and I suppose that he will cut my dosage back. I should be happy, but***8230;need I explain?

Only other change is I have been training hard and incorporated cardio and HIT cardio. As such I have lost about 30 pounds of BF and hovering in the 10-11 percent range now. Could these be responsible for the 1100 on a trough?

Thanks

It is largely due to changing your protocol. Your peaks will be lower and your troughs will be higher. In other words you are now in a tighter range.

The weight loss is probably contributing as well along with lower body fat % which would mean less lost to aromatization.

Megatron, IDK if you recall but I made this switch by your suggestion. Appreciate it brother.

I saw the doctor today, he is sending me for a body fat analysis. If I am below 15%, which I know I am, he plans on cutting my doses down and see how my body responds.

He explained that the idea is due to the increased muscle mass and lowered body fat along with weight training that my body should start operating properly hormonally. I would imagine the goal is to go off TRT completely. While the thought is empowering its concerning because I recall what life was like before TRT.

I always thought TRT was for life***8230;

Makes me want to run 500 a week for the next 10 weeks and jump my calories up as a last hurrah and see what I can accomplish on a test only cycle and too see how much I can hold on to after Dr starts cutting me back.

1100 on a trough on a day my shot is due is normal?

1100 is near the top of the normal range and is well above average for a healthy young male not on TRT.

I usually run about 1100 (70 mg E4D) and I do not want to be lower. Better strength, more stamina, more muscle, less fat, better appearance.

I recommend trying to stay at 1100 as long as you are not getting any adverse side effects like high HCT, sexual problems, higher blood pressure, worse lipid levels, etc.

And yes, TRT is usually for life. TRT shuts down your normal testosterone production and it is hard (or not possible) to start it up again if you stop TRT.

No. Lower body fat will not make your body "operate properly hormonally" while on TRT. Your HPTA is shut down while on TRT.

Cutting your dose due to lower body fat doesn't make sense. If anything it is an opportunity to increase it as you are less susceptible to aromatization.

The longer you are on TRT, the harder it is to come off even if you have made lifestyle changes. I just don't want you to go into this with delusions. Some guys have managed to do it but it isn't common.

Thought I would report back. Since switching to 100 E5D I feel much better and have seen some gains. On my last blood test on a trough I was 1440 total and my estrogen was 68. As a result doctor cut me back, so now I will be dosing 75 E5D. I am due back for blood work in three months. My hematocrit was borderline high, 50.4 or something like that. Doing blood donations every 4 weeks until it comes down.
