Switching up your Routine.

What kind of training changes did you make that have helped you more than gear? I am currently doing mon-tue-thurs routine. Chest-back-shoulders. Do you have any kind of an example of a basic week for you?

where's the leg work?

whats the point/reason for that. do some squats- they'll help you grow.

my routine, when i'm working at full capacity (which isn't at the moment) is this:

monday: flat bench and aux work
tuesday: deadlifts
wed: rest
thursday: decline bench and aux work
friday: squats

You are not going to grow unless you squat heavy, press heavy, dead heavy, and do everything heavy. You want to grow, all the machines and cables, stay away from them, read the thread above entitled, do deads thicken your waist. I haven't done probably 12 total sets of curls in a year, yet my arms are still 19 inches, why is that? You need to stop doing the muscle and fiction workout, and concentrate on doing something that gives real world results. Read that thread and maybe it will help you with a routine, and then we can tweak something for you.
 
No, I think I will leave my avatar alone. Ronnie is motivation. I just dont have time to do legs. I dont want to do a halfass leg routine. I dont halfass anything else. Well except cardio but thats a different story.

Now i have another idea, just skip arms from now on. This way you can get your squatting in.

It took me a while to catch on. I just started doin legs 2 yrs. ago. A lot of people just like to get their upperbody bigger that's the cali. beach bum look. It's all about deads and squats bro. Look at it this way squats give you total body stregth and I think help build you up tp a little.
I find it hard to believe you aint got time for them. Drop the cardio and do squats if you have to. When I started I could barely put 25's on the bar for squats but I sucked it up. Now 2yrs later I got 275 on the bar shootin for 315. Don't care if you look weak and can't handle a lot of weight it will come.
 
If I was restricted to just two exercises it would be deads and squats they are the foundation of my entire program.
 
its pretty simple as far as time. mon you squat, wed you bench, and fri you deadlift. u dont have time for that? thats bullshit to me, anyone can find 2-3hrs per week to workout.
 
ok u do mon tue thur. instead of devoting a whole day for shoulders, do them after chest on monday and now you can squat on thur. case closed.

We are helping you out, If you don't find the humor in what you said, i am sorry. At least come up with the typcial " i have a bad back" or " i have bad knees". Keep doing what your doing then, i honestly don't care. I don't get how you can wonder what is wrong with your routine, and you don't squat. Bye the way you probably got more help in this thread than you ever have, weather you use it or not is up to you.

DO YOUR LEGS!!! Real simple.
You've also been given a thread to read which has a solid routine in it.
I used it for 2 months and brought my squat (which you don't care about) up 50lbs, my bench 30lbs and my dead 60lbs.
Does that help???
