The owners manual is dated 11/15/08 so it can't be that old of a part. It says it is part of a 5 piece kit that is purchased to install their UTV Snow Plow. The 5 peice kit consists of my receiver mount kit; model specific attaching hardware kit; universal push tube; a plow blade and a winch to raise and lower the blade. Though I searched their website, I could not find any reference to my particular part as a stand alone. While I did not install it myself (the dealer did) it consists of a heavy welded plate bracket with a 2" receiver tube welded to it and assorted nuts and bolts mounting hardware and it is attached to the BR frame in the area where the skid plate front cover used to be. Attachment seems to be simple u-bolts and an additional bolt on each side. I do not believe any drilling was required. It is described in the owners manual as "The Cycle Country UTV 2" Receiver Mount Kit Model 18-1010 enables the use of Cycle Country UTV Blade System on the Honda Big Red UTV. The mount kit also allows the use of other 2" receiver type hitches and attachments to be used on the front of the vehicle."
