Tendinitis fix? Any items help longer term?

Like many on here I have read about, I get massive arm tendinitis ( bicep and "golfers elbow" and ulnar ).
Done lots of physio etc.. and take a crap load of ibuprofen and naproxen. This does not do much and even after a break, it will flare up again and again. Painful as hell and keeps me from great workouts.

Anyway, has anyone here tried more aggressive approaches?

I have read HGH might work, but that seems expensive.
I have tried deca, but that has not really helped either.

Any other ideas on things that can help with tendinitis?

Try some tac and stretch with a lacrosse ball. I had the same thing for months from doing ring dips till I stopped doing them for a while. Then it eventually went away. Good luck man.

Yes, it really sucks. Im over 40, but still want to work out hard and this keep from from 100%

I would love to hear some experiences on what works for others here? I am sure with how hard people here push their bodies that I am not the only one with massive tendinitis.

What is tac and stretch? I do some bicep stretches now and some forearm stretches, but that does not effect things much.
Thanks for the help.

Rest is the key. I'm fighting it now , it's a bitch. I know time off is needed but who can handle not being in the gym? I'm just trying to work around it, but it's an elbow so it messes lots of things up.

Rest, ice, Motrin for 1-2 wks

Good luck, cuz I feel like I'm fucked!

I feel the same way. I love curls, and thats what I cant do. I do Aleve 4x a day. Naproxet. It seems to help sometimes, but every once in a while I can even use my arms hardly to drive home. Then its two hours of ice on the couch whinning..... Hurts like shit.
I am looking for things to try, but there seems to not be much. Its really pretty debilitating.

Do some research on the TB500 peptide. I have a friend who has healed himself by using that peptide. I consider it the holy grail of healing. No joke.

Try to go easy on the ibuprofen (Aleve) , its hard on the kidneys , and if your like me your already straining the kidneys with a high protein diet and various gear. I"ve been living with golfers and tennis elbow for years now , ibuprofen does help at first , then stops working until you take another break , then stops working again . Elbow wraps and Capsaicin rub helps too at first then also stops working.....I"ve also been thru various physical therapy programs , again it worked for a while then returned . So yes your left with just working around the injury until it heals enough to do direct work . The only work my biceps have seen lately is indirect from lat pulldowns and BB rows , sometimes some lightish DB curls......and I hate it because I"ve lost strength and size from not hitting the biceps hard ......~Bo

I have heard that TB500 works, never had any personal experience with it nor any close friends.

I have tendonitis flare ups but use nandrolone to negate the effects, nandrolone is not a good drug and if you are not on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) it isn't really recommended due to the long terminal half life.

My friend swears that GH healed his tendonitis, same issues as me. Couldn't do curls with a barbell shooting pain et cetera.

My elbow deals with the same thing from heavy curls and triceps.. Dips kill too. Definitely is starting to flare up a month into the cycle. I am hoping I can work around it. FML gonna go hit it with a cortisone shot. I thought about HGH for 6mo after I get off this cycle and test bc I have a rear in my ACL and heard the collagen building effects are unreal. Meloxicam 15mg from the ortho helps me some hydro 10/325 makes it go bye bye.

I've done whats called Prolo Therapy. Helped for about 2 yrs. Its where they inject, dextrose, lidacain and b12 I believe. It creates swelling in your problem area and your body rushes red blood cells to the area to fix it. This combined with a holistic doctor doing Accupuncture worked good. I think I went 3/4 times and it was good.

My ortho who is a MLB doctor too said that they do PRP injections, platelet rich plasma injections and says thats the best way to do it. Haven't tried it yet though.

Change form or hand positions so you can perform lifts (curls) without tendon pain. If you feel pain when lifting then you are aggrivating the nerve. Also, bands help to keep everything lined up when you lift.
I bought some of those thin bicep bands that you would see football players wear and I wear them around my elbow (above or just below depending on were pain is) when I sleep at night.

I did notice that initially it was caused by heavy incline db curls. When db's are at your side, you would have a neutral grip, rotating to an underhand grip. This rotation with heavy db's caused by initial tendonitis and never went away till I got ProloTherapy. So yes, form and hand position will help, just depends on how severe it is already. Just my oppinion though.

Glucosamine and japanese mint oil (flare ups), I take Gluco all the time (in your case I would spring for Glucosamine Chondroitin, it works for joints and muscle ligaments) , everyday, by itself you really notice a difference, but once I stop taking it for a few days my joints really start to hurt, and don't cheap out on garbage glucosamine pills, I can get a 3-5 month supply of high quality glucosamine for $40, you just have to go to a organic health food store. Japanese mint oil is a savior for muscle/joint pain, its like a super cooling sensation, near the end of my last cycle, my elbow was damn near crippled from all pushup variations I had to do, just rub some on and it will take effect in a few minutes, its not a cure all, but they are very cheap and effective alternatives, that somewhat numb otherwise intolerable pain.

im using Deca (300mg /week) and Fish oil (1000mg twice a day) and it went away after 5 weeks. my golfers elbow was agonizing and the bicep tendon towards the elbow hurt like a bitch for any pulling motion

This is all excellent advice. Great thread. I will try some of these ideas and see how I make out.

Thanks all.
