Testosterone for depression

Whhya

I am banned!
guys when i was 21, my doctor tried high testosterone for depression and it didnt help. before that, i looked my growth plates and it closed. and i emailed trt clinic to ask question about brain development and they said to me testosterone not cause brain damage or development problems. i used testosterone 8-10 week and stopped went to pct for 10 days. i know its short but i couldnt handle emotional side effects but my testosterone went to back.

so my question is did i fuck something about hormones? i know age 21 is young for steroids but not too young and my growth plates was closed. i hope it didnt a damage to me :(

i need to know if it causes a damage.

Define damage? Will it make you sexxy...?

It stunts development, which goes far beyond growth plates sealing. Your neurological development is the last thing to complete during puberty, which is at risk.

Unless you're hypogonadal, testosterone needs to be left alone until you're done developing.

my little brother let bygones be bygones. im just asking it caused any damage? because trt doctor who is a known doctor about trt said to me not cause brain damage.

Well, there's only one accurate way to see if testosterone has caused you brain damage. And it kind of looks like it did something to you, to be honest. Ask your doctor for a binary-microfibular test, but specify, not the semi-granular one. They are easy to get. Let us know what the results were.

Don't play dumb with me, you little asshole. We've got you figured out. You think we are idiots. You tell us you don't understand English in this thread. But in another thread you have no trouble insulting one of our most knowledgeable members. I have nothing but loathing for a coward like you. You just got lucky that TooTuff did not kick your lame ass out. I think Tootuff was way too generous to let you stay in this forum, not that I would always be right. But it's only a matter of days when TooTuff or someone else with authority will realize you are a very negative, wannaby, and troll. Not everyone has seen all your posts yet, that's why not everyone realizes how disruptive, deceptive and outright evil you are.
There..., do you understand my English??

PS If there one man in this forum that would have no problem tearing you fking head off it's oldmusclemike. But being the coward you are, you should just continue to hide in your bedroom.

i never got my testosterone levels checked when i was younger, but throughout high school i was depressed, lacked confidence, my sex drive definitely definitely low, and i had no real motivation or ambition. i was a late bloomer, but looking back i'm almost certain i had low testosterone levels. in range, but low. i was considering anti depressants but i was against them, and still am.

anyway my first cycle was september 2011 a few months after my 18th birthday. 525mg per week of test prop for 12 weeks, besides the sick gains i felt that this is how i should feel mentally. i had amazing sex drive, motivation, confidence... everything. even when i dropped my dose to 175mg for a week or two when my order was running late, i still felt better than i did naturally.

there is scientific proof that high levels of testosterone are a direct cause of a greater sense of well being, higher confidence, less anxiety and more spontaneity, and the list goes on. all of those things equals no depression.

your estrogen was probably not at the correct level for a man. but overall testosterone REALLY helped me mentally in so many ways. if you want to know specifically how or have any questions to me regarding the subject feel free to message me.

good luck brah

Fist off, his post count is too low to pm u. Second, I think he is still too young for steroids. You may have run a cycle at way too young of an age but not a good idea to reccomend other, under age to do so. You have some knowledge on this topic and can help people bro. Do that. Dont steer them the wrong direction.

he's not looking to run a cycle, he said his doctor gave him high test in order to help his depression which honestly is the dumbest thing i've ever heard and i dont know what the fuck kind of doctor would even think of that. being on HIGH TEST all the time is not only unhealthy, but its probably the worst way to directly attack depression.

when i started using gear i coincidentally noticed that i started feeling normal and that my "depression" went away.

i think anti depressant medications and all sorts of drugs in that realm are way more harmful to you than test will ever be. yeah sure, maybe i was way to young when i started but they also put little kids in elementary school on ritalin and adderall in america on such a common basis its unreal, their brains are barely even developed. and yeah sure my natural test production is probably completely fucked by now.. but i rather my natty test production to be fucked and inject myself for life with a hormone that is naturally produced in all human bodies, than being dependent on unnatural anti-depressant SSRI's which directly fuck up your brain and have so many horrible physical side effects.

it is so simple to replace hormones or vitamins or other naturally occurring things that you are lacking, but its not simple at all fix a fucked up brain chemistry.

Fair enough Notgill. It just "seemed" to me atleast that in your initial reply you were suggesting that going on test would help solve his mental (brain) issue. So I wanted to clarify that here we dont recommend that anyone under the age of 25 go on cycle. So if your intentions were to help OP in another way, so be it. thats good.

yeah reading my first over again it did almost seem like i was trying to sell him on the idea, and i didn't mean for it to come out that way. i was just relating with the kid and sharing my personal experience with the problem he's having/the [terrible] solution that was offered to him.

i am so against solving mental issues such as depression and anxiety through drugs because that should be the absolute last resort. too many people underestimate how beneficial meeting with a therapist could be, whether it's once a month or once a week. i was seeing a therapist on a weekly basis for almost a year when i was around 17-18 and depressed and confused, and i still see a military therapist every month or two due to some shit i've experienced throughout my service. unfortunately i occasionally NEED to take a xanax, usually in the evenings or nights, just to help me chill out and get to sleep because thats around the time my thoughts and memories start running wild. one therapist even had the nerve to offer me Lexapro to take on daily basis when i specifically told him i have no issues on a daily basis but just occasionally at night, and refused to continue giving me short acting benzos like xanax when i told him thats what has worked and i'm sticking with it.

anyway i got sidetracked a bit, but i didnt really understand OP's question. we're not psychologists here, we cant help you solve your depression issues and if you think your hormones are fucked up now, why don't you go back to that genius doctor of yours who had the bright idea of putting you on a high dose of testosterone ?
