TRT a Possibility

I'm wondering if I would qualify for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). I thought I would post here first to get some expert advice before embarking on the journey as I'd rather not waste my time if the outlook is bleak.

About me. I turned 41 this year and I'm in good physical condition. About 5 years ago I was having some issues in terms of libido, sexual desire, etc. Now, that was probably because the woman I married (I'm now divorced) had turned into a walrus, but I won't get into that.

It was during this time (5 years ago) that I went to see an Endocrinologist because I thought I had low test. Not so much. I don't remember the exact number but my test came back in the mid-500's.

Fast forward 5 years. I've got a very attractive girl friend, no desire issues but I still don't hold an erection for long without some assistance. I went to my GP doc about 2 years ago and described the issue. He prescribed some Levitra and sent me on my way. I almost passed out when I paid for the script; I think it was like $100.00 for 10 or 12 pills. Plus, the stuff gave me some bad sides.

Ever since then, I've been ordering Tadalfil from overseas. I get some sides, but not as bad.

So I figure my test at this point is either still in the 500's or maybe high to mid-400's. Do you guys think that a 41-year old with test in the 500's would be a candidate for TRT?

Thanks.

You have to get blood test again to see where u stand...

Right, I definitely understand that. But I assume it's no higher than it was 5 years ago.

In general, do 41-year olds with a test level somewhere in the 500's get turned down for some type of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) or is that low enough to qualify?

I'm no expert but you might qualify ...I'm interested to c what the rest of the guys would say I'm trying to get on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) myself but still debating I DOT not want to be on in for life that's for sure .

Sounds like testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is not for you as it's not something you do for a few weeks then you are cured.

You need more blood work numbers. You can get on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). Just not so sure that is the cause of your issues. I would be curious to see Free T, E2 SHBG etc. to see if there is something else that is out of whack. I have seen peolpe get accepted for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) with higher T numbers than yours. It's just a matter of what you want to put yourself though. Have you tried cialis? Not sure is tadafil is Vgra or cialis.

Thanks for the reply. As I read more and more it occur to me that it's not just about total test, there's a lot more in the equation.

From the outside, it seems as simple as getting a blood test and if you have low T, you get a presrip and bang, it's all better. Having read through lots of the FAQ's and a number of logs, it's clearly A LOT more complex than that.

I currently use a generic version of Cialis which is tadalifil.

shit dude. im in my 20s and ive never had blood taken and gotten 500s before. best ive done was upper 400s. the last one i took before starting testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) was in the low 300s.

def look into things to see if something else is causing it.

Definitely get a blood test. I plan on doing this soon to check my hormone levels as I have a pretty low libido. (probably from cycling on and off over the years) Hopefully I can get on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) soon. Im 36 for what it's worth.

It's been less than six months on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for me, cream first now Primo, and I am so much better that I cannot even dream of a situation where I would ever get off it.

Guys: Did I get the abbreviation wrong? To me Primo = Primoteston. Is Primo normally meant to mean Primobolan (methenolone acetate).

Yeah, BF. I'm sure that was Det's assumption since that is a pretty standard abbreviation, in the U.S. at least. If not, I'm sure he'll chime in :)
