TRT and Supplements

Real simple, what would you guys recommend in regards to supplements? I am starting on Chips conservative protocol. My goal is to shed some weight, hit my Total Gym (don't laugh) and be able to walk a golf course without burning out by the 12th hole.

I'm 6' tall and 260. I currently wear a size 51 to 54 in a sport jacket (wide shoulders) and a size 40 pant, dress shirts are 18.5 x 34. I was a 36 waist about 3 years ago and a 50 in a jacket, 18/34 in a shirt. All of my weight is in the belly area (I look pregnant, third trimester beach ball), along with face and neck. When I get going it comes off fast. I am not looking to body build or bulk up on muscle mass. My goal is flexibility along with some nice lean muscle tone.

Probably will say what everyone else will say: Diet and excercise will have the most impact on BF. Since you brought up supps, I will at least try and help you there.

Q10 is a great antioxidant. I don't personally take it because I am genetically predisposed to making lots of it (proven by genetics and by vitamin tests).

Vitamin D has been researched and shows those with higher levels have less fat within the muscle fibers. Vit. D is just good stuff overall and take 10-15K IU per day...YES THAT MUCH. I too was deficient and after 1 year of 3-5K, I was barely acceptable. You have to use more than you think.

A good multi is alway important but really you should be tested for mineral and vitamins. I had the test done and was deficient in D, selenium, zinc and E. Zinc is good stuff and most men are deficient...but still suggest bloodwork. Too much of a good thing is not good.

I will end with diet and excerise as your main goal to losing however.

If you are fat I bet your SHBG and estrogen is high. Drop that down and you will slim down real quick.
 
dont forget your fish oil ! (Omega 3s)

I am taking the Metagenics EPA-DHA 720 ( thats EPA 860mg, DHA 580mg) per two capsules.

I am taking 5 caps a day so thats EPA 2150mg/ DHA 1450mg per day.
