TRT effect on substance abuse
does anyone feel that testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) has helped them overcome substance abuse (marijuana, alcohol, prescription drugs, etc...) ? Or maybe curb their need for these substances. I feel like substance abuse is rooted in the person wanting to escape reality because they do not like their reality and the use of the substance helps them feel good for a short period of time, and so I was curious if anyone has been able to kick an addiction or felt a lesser urge or reduced their usage due to starting TRT?
