The Fine Arts

Who here enjoys them? I find myself often alone due to my groups of friends. As a strict conservative idealist, when most of the musical arts today are heavy on the liberal ideals.

Take "Rent" for example, if you have never seen it but enjoy deep musicals I highly recommend it. But most people I know won't watch it do it the homosexuality, AID's, and other messages in it.

Wicked is am amazing play I seen at the Ohio Theater last year. Best twist on the Wizard of Oz I ever seen.

I also enjoy all of the old school musicals. Its nice to sit back and watch something that actually took thought, and natural talent to create. Not CGI action movies, each of which has the exact same story line.

I only did one play in my life(a musical) in highschool and I miss it so much wish I had gotten more involved in it.

Sorry Z, you might be flying solo on this one man.

I respect the hell out of you for liking that stuff.

I saw the Nutcracker ballet once.

Once was too many times.

I actually have seen Rent, but I was trying to get laid in university by some sexy drama chick.
Sorry bro.

For some reason all them liberal, hipster, punk, etc girls are freakking hottt as hell. But so messed up in the head. I went to a hooka bar here with some buds that was all young liberal arts people...so many hot girls...so many daddy issues.

You know how hard it is to find someone who loves plays/musicals/live acting that is not a liberal? I may be the only one -.-

I love plays, musicals & just anything that has to do with art. My girls love to go to art museums & love to go to the theather.
We've taken them to art festivals I think is great to get your kids to learn & appreciate art.

I love plays, musicals, open mic poetry readings... I tend to go to museums and performances by myself a lot not necessarily bc my friends are not into them but more bc it is a time where I can silently enjoy something beautiful.

I love outdoor concerts and music festivals also...and I LOVE ART shows...

I have a lot of friends who are very talented up and coming artist I cannot wait to go to their Art shows.

You may be, for instance I'm an opera fan but you couldn't pay me enough or tempt me with enough booty to get me to go to a musical or some garbage avant garde modern play (cat on a hot tin roof is decent though and not modern obviously... :D ).

Loooooooove art shows, we went to one 2 weeks ago, it was great (the girls really enjoyed it) I love to sketch & love to draw, been doing it since I was like 5... So I can definitely appreciate & enjoy art... my oldest is a pretty good artist herself, she's on 3rd grade & her art teacher is always amazed by her art work... it's pretty cool.

I have been to most of the great art museums in Europe and quite a few here in the States as well. Absolutely love art but don't have an ounce of artistic talent myself. I grew up going to plays with my best friend because his dad was an English professor. Don't really have the time to splurge on the arts right now but maybe when the kids are older.

I have only been to one art museum, but I have been thrice. They change the exhibits often enough. Its a great atmosphere, and makes me proud that some culture still exists in this nation.

I would think that "Rent" would be the antithesis to conservative thought.

My thesis for graduate school revolves around art during World War II and how it was censored, stolen, ransomed and sadly sometimes destroyed by the Nazis and to a lesser extent the Soviets...

Anyway if you want fine art and porn they got some good stuff coming out of Europe (namely a studio named PRIVATE) plus the classics such as The Devil In Miss Jones, etc when they seemed like legit movies just with hardcore sex in them...

Theres another Wizard of Oz show coming to the Nuttercenter in Ohio. I believe its called A tale of the two witches. Its about how they came to be pre Dorathy. I think there were 4introduction sisters. Just an fyi. If your in OH its something to watch out for. Im only 45min from the Nuttercenter. I think the wife wants to go.
