The use of HCG whilst on TRT

Hello all...

I'm interested to know how many of you guys on TRT use HCG as part of your regular protocol?

Do you use it purely for aesthetic reasons to maintain decent size in the testes - or is there any medical reason as to why a TRT patient should include it?

Those that do use it... what frequency and dosages do you run?

New to TRT and want to cover every angle and expand my limited knowledge...

Cheers BigBen :)

I'm going to try it out in a few months, as it provides an analog (artificial, but similar) LH signal to the LH receptors in the body. As the human body relies on this LH signal to trigger other hormone releases such as DHEA and pregnenolone, it may be beneficial to add this to your protocol. I'm going to ask my doctor AGAIN first, and if he still refuses (he's stuck on it being a diet fad even though I've presented him proper data) I will likely seek elsewhere. I have been supplementing with micronized forms of the two aforementioned hormones, but would like to see if HCG does a better job.

I've been reading how an LH signal may help with stress related issues such as adrenal fatigue as well. This is something I have a great deal of interest in as I had sleep apnea for some time, which really messed with my cortisol levels. Definitely hoping this is the magic bullet that fixes a few nagging issues.

My .02c :)

Think back-fill hormonal pathways...as halfwit pointed out. I would recommend its use. I did a long cruise and incorporated it and compared to whn I had done so in the past felt much better not only cause my nuts were fuller but I didnt experience the degree of lethargy etc and maintained a fantasic sense of well being.

Thanks fellas... I know I ran HCG on my last long(ish) cycle and my nuts felt great throughout.
Interesting theory on improving well-being... I had always attributed my feelings of well-being and responsiveness to the gear I was taking - perhaps it was the HCG that was giving me that kick (or more than likely the mixture of both!)

I'm guessing then that the protocol on TRT would be similar to what most would run on cycle then?
2 x 250iu's every 3.5 days?

Yes sir....

I cycle HCG on and off for my TRT protocol. I don't notice a huge difference anymore but it just could be me. I run HCG for a 10 weeks and then take off a month. I have been doing it like that for ages. Don't ask me why, I just do. Lol.

Hey, too many people follow stuff they read on here by the letter...

If it works for you - nothing else matters! :)

Cheers for the input fellas!

Isn't Cortisol a "stress hormone" ?

Sounds like a good plan to follow buddy...

Are you taking 500iu's per week split into two doses?

bump...I'm am really needing info on this myself. specifically, is 250iu's injected every 3.5 days the way to go with an ongoing trt plan? I inject every 3.5 days 80mg test cyp...so, would I inject the 250iu's of hcg at the same time as the cyp? Also, what is every one using as an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) and their dosage and times taken with it.

Thanks.

TRT is a very individual process, and it differs from person to person. Basically, it’s trial and error with confirmation via bloodwork. But there are a few guidelines that people stick to.

Injecting twice a week like you do is definitely the way to go. Some even inject 3 times a week, the more you inject the more you suppress SHBG which in turn will give you more free testosterone. So if you do go to a more frequent dosage schedule keep that in mind. But twice a week is optimal for most.

HCG is important and it is one of those compounds that the more frequently you do the injections the better (obviously, if the frequency of injections goes up the dosage goes down). I personally prefer every other day injections of about 170 IU. Some even claim that an ideal dosage would be 100 IU every day, and even though the injections are subq that is a little excessive in my opinion. Remember, the larger the individual dosage, the more it will affect your E2, and that cannot be controlled by an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) (because some HCG stimulates E2 production directly from the testes and since there is no conversion from testosterone an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) wont work).

Make sure to take Pregnenolone and DHEA with your TRT (50mg each is a good starting point) to back fill your pathways. Both are over-the-counter, and no prescription is necessary.

As far as which Aromatase inhibitor (AI) to use, and the dosage that again is going to be an individual trial and error process confirmed with bloodwork but .25mg of Anastrozole twice a week is a good starting point. Exemestane can be another alternative for people whose lipids are affected by Anastrozole (12.5mg twice a week is a good starting point). Most leave letro as a last resort. As far as when to does an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) you can do it the day of the injection or the day after the injection. It is really trial and error confirmed with bloodwork. The good news is, you might not even need an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) with the dosage that you take. But the only way to really know is to get bloodwork done.

I hope this helps you.

Its not that crucial when u inject it (hcg). I read some say day before t injections. whatever. it wont matter imo.
