theoretically...Two / dual test prescriptions

Let's say a doctor has a patient picking up their own test vial , w 3 refills, from their pharmacy of choice. Month later, doc agrees to increase the weekly dosage and writes a.brand new paper script for the new dosage.... The first script is ready t o refill plus a new scrript in hand. What's to stop someone frome going to a different pharmacy, claim no insurance, and get extra test? Basicallly, what measures are in place to help prevent this illegal act?

thats a good question i dont know since its a controlled drug if there is data base or not to keep track of it. Like you said you would probably have to do another pharmacy. I guess what can keep people honest is if a doc is doing blood test because he will eventually catch it. personally I have been on patches, gel, cyp, and ethanate. I have a box full of patches, two bottles of androgel, and probably 1000mg of extra T laying around.

Actually, I'm not sure it would be illegal, depending on where you live. If you were using it yourself, your doctor would find out via blood tests. If you gave it to someone else, that would be illegal, as well as if you sold it. If you purchased it and didn't use it, than it would just be a waste of money, but probably not illegal. There are databases in some states, to catch people who are "doctor shopping" (ie going to multiple doctors to get lots of controlled substances either for themselves or to sell) but since it's from the same doctor, and he presumably wouldn't be doing that for a long period of time, it probably wouldn't be enough to show up on a database.

you got to wonder if docs can cancel a script? Wouldnt it be illegal if you got a new script and went somewhere else and got more because doesnt the new script make the old one null and void. Eventually this will catch up and make this a lot harder, eventually there will be a database and I would guess sometime in the future doctors will be connected with pharmacys and will order it for you where you want, right now with the paper script there is to many ways to forge it and give people the opurtunity to do the wrong thing.

Thanks for all ur input...same thoughts as I had. Does anyone know if there's a list of states? I once remember my doc electronically notifying my pharmacy of some other, minor med I needed. However, when he tried typing in test, he said he had to mannually write it due to the 'type' of drug being prescribe...and apologize d for the inconvenience.
I agree that the follow up script superceeds the first script. What we are hypothosizing is illegal regardless of how the extra test is used...and especially since the offender wuld have to go back for refills (twice) at two diff pharms over a period of time. Just curious on hoew offenders in IL or IN or WI can be put to a stop!

I dont if your thinking for yourself or just curious. With most docs I would think they would be keeping track of it, and would never write enough for you to hang yourself with. Plus this isnt tops on law enforcements list, specially if your scamming the relative amount for yourself to run a cycle or something. I just dont think enough would be written to really do a whole lot.

What's to stop someone with low T from going to multiple doctors and getting multiple prescriptions for Test? How would they know if they are in different systems? Seems like an easy way to accumulate a lot of Test. I'm of course not going to do that, but I can't help thinking about how to game the system.

Most states have pharmacy tracking with controlled substances. Like mentioned by someone else, this is how they catch dr shoppers

the problem with that is if you used insurance that would be picked up quickly I would think but i guess its possible. But you for sure wouldnt get away with multiple scrips of T if you were using insurance. I guess you could do it all out of pocket, but for the doctors visits and and for the medicine would turn into an exspensive and cost a a lot of time.
