this whole Aesthetics thing is really getting out of control

in Canada kinesiology is a fuckin joke!!! I train personal trainers man they are all fuckin retarded... I have no fuckin idea what they learn in those classes man

edit*sorry dreday have no idea what my response has to do with your comment :p maybe I should just remove the quote

No man you're fine, I asked the same thing in this thread: What does a kinesiology degree have to do with nutrition or the body's biological or chemical responses to food?

Sorry if you felt I was attacking those educated. I was simply saying, from my experience, that tends to be the trend. They think their was is the best way like my friend thinks more reps lighter weight will get your more cut up and less reps more weight builds mass. To an extent this is true but he is dead set that this is true for every individual.

So, thank you for having an open mind.

Nice seeing you back Dr.House :)

dude I did a kinesiology class and the teacher said you were not aloud to stretch a muscle unless that's the muscle you were going to workout for the day cause its bad for you :s
I was like "then explain yoga"
he failed me so I took it to the dean and got an A

ur supposed to play along with the lie, nobody is gonna sponsor you if your openly admitting that you got your results from steroids. the worlds a stage man, everyone has to play their part.

HAHAHA, fuck it at least you got an A! Thats why I dislike some institutions, they are too closed minded for their own good

I'm pretty sure I'm a different Dr. House than the one you're referring to but thank you for the warm welcome regardless!

Nope, not unless you have the same screen name and avi picture of Zane :). You made a post in an IF thread a while back that stuck with me and we've talked in other threads. My screen name changed, maybe thats why you dont remember me? Docd187123

Well I think you were correct! I usually stick to the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and diet boards because I'm not a user yet. Playing with the idea but not brave enough just yet. Further education is required.

I'm glad I made a lasting impression and I hope it was a good one!

Back to the topic, I didn't watch the video but the time frame would be the biggest obstacle in my opinion. Not necessarily nutrition. My roommate is about 6'1" 220 pounds at probably 7-8% body fat. He could use, I really don't know, but I've asked him straight up and he denies. He claims to have only been working out approximately 3-4 years starting about 160-170 pounds in memory serves me correctly.

With all this talk about proper nutrition and what people need to do to bulk and whatnot, I just wondered if anyone stopped for a moment and realized that we are all unique. Some of us can slam away crappy calories and lose weight with a proper exercise, others struggle to shave off any amount of fat.

Like someone once said to me, we are all precious snowflakes.

that was a cute way to end it

But the issue doesn't have anything to do with crappy calories or good calories. There is really no Onjective viewpoint since everyone has different terms for clean and dirty. Furthermore I'm still waiting for an explanation of how said "crappy" calorie gets processed any differently by the body with all othe factors being equal??? It's the amount of the calories not the sources that are important to body comp. if you want health and longetevity (who doesn't really) than yes micros are important too but how is chicken and broccoli for 8 meals a day any better or worse than a Pizza Hut pizza to use OP's example? You're still only getting the nutrients in chicken and broccoli and kissng out on a ton of other nutrients. You cannot classify a diet based on its constituent factors. You need to evaluate the diet as a whole and the sum of all its parts. There are so many reasons why ppl have trouble shaving off fat and it has absolutely the least to do with where you get your calories. Ppl underestimate food intake, especially candys/typical junk food etc, ppl underestimate their activity levels, ppl don't measure out correct portions, they sit at home and watch tv after work, they take the elevator to go up one flight instead of the stairs, they take the car to drive the kid to the bus stop at the end of the driveway etc! You think those factors don't play a larger role in why people today are fatter than they were in previous generations?

Absolutely nothing wrong with further education, in fact I'd say that mentality is better than "hey I'm in wk 4 of my cycle, should I buy an AI?" Mentality.

Yes it was certainly a good one, I saw someone who was able to see through the bullshit in a thread that had so much wrong in it.

Time frame is the biggest obstacle from what I've gathered here but still haven't seen the vid. Your roommates transformation time seems a little suspect considering the starting point but I've seen some pretty remarkable transformations and some people just know how to get it done while cutting through the bs.

Obviously it isn't quite that simple but I agree people make things about losing/gaining fat/muscle way too hard. Maybe its because I'm pretty good with numbers but energy is neither created nor destroyed.. I'm one of those guilty of eating fried white rice, ice cream, pizza, etc. I maintain around 8-9% body fat typically.

I literally think those dudes are partially retarded.. Those are also the ones who come to me in the gym and ask me what I'm on because I'm more jacked than them on gear

I try to be as open as possible to nearly everything but I don't know everything. However, there are sometimes when you just have to stick to your guns.

He is quite a specimen.. No homo.. Like I said, he could very well use something but I can only take his word for it. I typically don't ask personal questions like that but hes pretty unreal.

The day I decide to pin the first time (I'll probably skip all orals minus Anavar (var) (maybe)) I will be ready. Mentally and with all the necessary accessories.

No it's not at all that simple but unused them as examples that its not about food quality either. I'm a numbers guy myself and we talked about this before, first law of thermodynamics come into play (the body is a closed system after all outside of eating and excreting) and the conservation of mass does as well. You are a prime example of how its not the food source that makes you fat, I mean good God man, you eat ice cream and pizza!!!!! Oh no!!!!!

Good luck on your journey and from time to time, come to the section for a visit, I don't often make it to the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) forum :(

I wish people would keep shit 100.

Gain size natty isn't the the hard - it's when you diet down and try to maintain.

I've got a kinesiology degree and unless the body has dramatically evolved in the 18 years without science knowing about it. Then it's simply not possible to gain quality body mass eating hollow foods filled with phytosterols and saturated fats. Your foolish to think that you can do this, naturally, and still make gains. Esp. not like this guy, in 3 years, from nothing.

You have a Kinesiology degree, not a Nutrition degree my friend and here a PHD disagrees with you.

Only referring to the food part though, fuck that scrawny asshole in what you posted XD

I'm not sure he disagreed or just had caveats towards 'healthy' eating, ( when I think 'clean food' I think of non prepared organic, no sprays or powders or in ground additives), for me healthy food is what I grew up on the farm with: Haggis, potatoes, multi coloured veggies, chicken, beef, mutton, unpasteurized milk and cheese, oats, lots of oats. The fibre comments were interesting but he dosen't say anything that much different then I do when I talk about diet to clients, " be reasonable, take points from various eating ideas that work with your lifestyle, ( eg: paleo, vegan, gluten free.. ect. ). Would I ever tell a client to go eat at a fast food joint? hell no.

really ? Nike felt confident enough with our University to fund the program here for 10 years.. here's a thought , stay out of Canada and don't deal withCanadians, if your a rah rah USA, frankly we can do without the idiocy.

So now on top of faulty nutritional information you've been giving out you want to play the role of immigration lawyer too? Or are you some Internet bigot who thinks his country is all "rah rah". Someone can't criticize an organization in a country without being ridiculed and told not to deal with a race and to leave the country? Grow up and make a logical argument already.

Nike also felt confident enough to sponsor Tiger Woods for many years, guess Nike is the new "authority".

This is nothing to do with my myopic dieting pontification so clarification will be welcome now.
