I've been getting differing opinions on this. I developed this suddenly and my doc probably wants me off of T, but he's doing to check with other docs. Has anybody had this? Have you gone to a lower dose? Taken off? No problem? I've lived with depression and anxiety my whole life (not because of low T though, that happened a year ago) and this is the one thing left at this point that might help me a little.
I've emailed one doc and am looking at a couple of others. I just wonder what my chances are.
Also, for those who have had to come off (and most probably aren't here right now), how long did it take for things to get really bad? My level was at 1000 (inadvertenly--and maybe this exacerbated the problem) a week and a half ago. He seems to think my T will be high enough for weeks. I tried to tell him that just because it's "protein bound" as he says, and it stays in your system a long time, this doesn't mean it's going to affect you positively for very long if the half life is 8 days. He said I might be uncomfortable for a while. If he only knew what major depression and withdrawal is like.
Sorry that was too long.
