Total beginner looking for some advice

To start off I'm 27 years old 160lbs @ 5'6. I've been working out with a trainer for the past 6 weeks doing 3 days of weights & 3 days of cardio. My body fat % 6 weeks ago was @ 24% but I haven't checked it since. My diet is pretty good @ the moment. I'm taking in about 150-160grams of protein a day with a healthy amount of carbs. I understand that diet is 75% of the process & I believe I'm eating very well. I have always wanted to start a cycle of test but I don't want to do it @ the wrong time. So I'm hoping I can get some advice from you guys to get on the proper plan in order to possibly start a cycle. I've been told that I should bump down my cardio & increase my weight lifting workout to 4 days. I know that lifting too much won't do me any good since I need to give my body time to recover. I would really appreciate your thoughts about this. Thanks in advance.

lift, learn, work hard and eat correctly for the next three years then think about a cycle. Not what you want to hear but thats what you needto do.

You need to train as hard as you can, eat properly and like PF just said read and learn bro. Youre no where near the point where aas should come into play.

I totally understand that I'm nowhere close to starting a cycle. I guess I should've asked specific questions. Should I concentrate on weights only? I'm not fat @ all. I'm skinny with a small belly so if I want to gain bulk the natural way would it be better for me to concentrate on my diet & lift weights or do I have to include cardio as well?

Read starting strength, mass made simple or 5/3/1. Typically you need to bulk or cut but not both at the same time. Sounds to me like you need to set a goal and then educate yourself on how to get there. Btw if you aren't squatting you aren't working out.

What are your goals man? Without knowing your goals, these questions can't be answered. Do you want to bulk, do you want to slowly add muscle while maintaining lower body fat, do you want to be lean and cut?

My main goal @ the moment is to bulk up & once I've reached a size I'm comfortable with I would like to be lean & cut. But if there are better ways to get to my goal I'm willing to make changes. Thanks for answering. I really appreciate it.
