Does this sound normal to you guys? my doc says " king your test is fine"...... Unfortunately total test is the only one they preformed.

funny also kaisers standard range is anything above 220 lol

Assuming that this was early morning.

Something to watch out for. HRT isn't the most fun in the world. If you can naturally raise your levels with say sleep, less stress, diet, exercise, pregnenolone and DHEA. You will be way better off. I would recommend this to anybody. Include thyroid blood work next time.

I "real" physician will not put you on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) with those numbers.

wow, that surprise me, here is a real physician, actually one of the leaders in the world, that has plainly said over and over that TT means nothing if a man is having symptoms, that Free T is actually much more of a determining factor. as a matter of fact men with low free t often have worse symptoms then men with low TT.

so maybe those real docs don't know their ass from a hole in the ground.

here is one that does

Well, this is another area of confusion and great debate, but I dont think its as confusing as it appears to be in the literature. When most doctors learned about testosterone in medical school, they learned about total testosterone, or all the testosterone in the body. But about half of the testosterone thats circulating in the bloodstream is not available to the cells. Its tightly bound to a carrier molecule called sex hormone binding globulin, which we abbreviate as SHBG.

The biologically available part of total testosterone is called free testosterone, and its readily available to the cells. Almost every lab has a blood test to measure free testosterone. Even though its only a small fraction of the total, the free testosterone level is a pretty good indicator of low testosterone.

For example, testosterone can increase the hematocrit, the percentage of red blood cells in the bloodstream. If the hematocrit goes up too high, we worry about the blood becoming too viscous or thick, possibly predisposing someone to stroke or clotting events. Although, frankly, in a review that I wrote in the New England Journal of Medicine* where we reviewed as much of this as we could, we found no cases of stroke or severe clotting related to testosterone therapy. Nevertheless, the risk exists, so we want to be careful about giving testosterone to men who already have a high hematocrit, such as those with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or those who have a red-blood-cell disorder.

A Harvard expert shares his thoughts on testosterone-replacement therapy - Harvard Health Publications

I guess what I'm saying is, if a REAL doctor goes by a number of the average men in america, then you can keep him, I am not average and never want to be.:afro:

I too have dealt with Kaiser for to long.

Do yourself a favor... If you honestly feel your levels are low, & once everything has checked out fine, then DONT waste your time w/ Kaiser. Check out ULV or Maximus.

Kaiser has billed me thousands for incomplete care. I finally left them after my Test injections were $125 each once every 2 weeks, and the wait to see an endo was 5 months. My T Levels were way below 200 and they still chose to treat me like I was trying to get something out of them.

I had all the symptoms of low t. I'm 33 an had total test of 475. But my free was really low n shgb really high. So Im in my first month of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) feeling a lil better. So u need to do more test to see where your really at.

get with testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) clinic now and get blood tests now- all of them - there is much more than test levels to HRT and Agre Management - you need to look at liver function, IgF-1. Cortisol, DHEA/Pregnonolone, B Vitamins, Folate, D Vitamis, Prolactin, SHBG - do the blood test right and know EXECTLY where you stand ,

Call testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) company - det/oak canhelp
