Train one muscle group per day?

I dont see why it couldn't be good for sports, you can train one body part so much harder and have more than enough rest before you do it again. Also it would probably depend on what sports and how you wanted to improve in that sport.

I don't recommend it, going to be difficult to get a good hour in if you are only working 1 bodypart.

Since when did time in the gym equate to quality gains? That's bs. I know some people who lift more in 45mins than those who life for 3 hours in a session.

How many different lifts are usually good? I mean I can tell when my muscles are so pumped I cant flex them very well, is that usually a good time to stop? I currently do 4 lifts with 4 sets of 12-15 reps.

I rec 1 muscle per workout (2 MAX if its something like abs and legs)
and only workout about 3 times a week, you need to rest and eat to grow.

thats just getting started. then i push till i cant anymore and "force stretch" the pumped muscle near end and at end of workout on a wall or table.

the hurting pump is only maybe half way into my workout.

that s what works for me:
Mon: chest/bic.
Tue: legs
wen: back
thur: shoulders/triceps
fri: off
sat: all body
sun: off

I agree i do one muscle group a day and i find it to be much better than 2 a day. I feel like it gives me more time to work on that single muscle then wear out my bi's for example by doing back on the same day.

having worked out off and on for 20 years, the best advice i can give is to learn to listen to your body. some require more, some less. seems for me and many that one body part/work out is optimal. for me it's about focus. when working one part i can focus on hitting that group hard and fast. not worry about not having anything left over for next body part.
learning to listen to your body helps. sometimes i'm still sore from previous work out. like shoulders from last shoulder work out i'll skip entirely. would GUESS one part per session would be helpful especially as you have a tough job. need to train muscle deep and fast .

I am just about the same here but i combine arm day into one day and include forearms too.... feels like my arms are going to split open thru the skin. also on chest day i will do 2 tris and on back i will do 2 bis just to finish them off.

1 muscle group a day is wayyyyyyyy more effective because your putting alll your strength into that 1 muscle.

example:

mon.-chest
tues.-back
wed.-legs
thurs.-shoulders
fri.-biceps
sat.-triceps.
sun.-cardio/abs
