Pulled for the first time in 3 months and the third time in 8 months, lol. For fucking sucked for the first 3 of 5 singles at 405 and my back was tight as fuck. On the fourth one i felt a little better as i got the bar in closer to my shins. The fifth one, right up the body and got the hips out hard and almost fell back, i was happy, decided to stop their.

Did some gm's off the pins 3x5 275
45 degree hypers with a mini 3x10 these rock, and the band is far superior to weight.
leg raises 3xfailure

Came home to do some GHR's, and i have a mental block, i got it set up right but everytime i come down i think the machine is going to flip and i get scared, so i have to have my brother come over and spot me once.

Thats a lot of singles to pull. Were they max singles, or just pretty heavy (90%+)?

When i stopped deadlifting 8 months ago i was just around or just under 600. When i pulled three months ago i got a nice 530. I need a workout or two to get my form down, although three months ago i was stronger overall. 400 is usually a warmup when i am in shape, but today it was a little heavier. :)
 
Gotcha! Damn I been there before, I'm back up to 600 now......after being back down to 400, back to 500, and injured/back aggravated, and down to repping with 400, back to 575, and back aggravated, and back down to 500, and up to.....well you get the point. I herniated a couple disks in my back many years ago, and everything will go great for a time, and then it will get aggravated again, and I have to lower the weights to keep from coming undone.

SUCKS! But its part of the game for many of us. The worse pat is I have rarely gotten injured when PL'ing training. All my major injuries have come about from HIT training. after 25 years of lifting I'm kinda beat-up, and most of the injuries likely could have been avoided if I was a bit smarter when I was a lot younger. Youth is truly wasted on the young :)

IA, i no what you mean. The first time i pulled something in my back it was when i was going to chiro, i think they screwed me up a bit. Then about a month or two later i pulled something doing sldl's with 455, that one was bad, and then i lifted my head while doing scullcrushers and pulled a ton of shit in my neck and it went donw to my shoulderblade. I was finally feeling good a few months ago and thought i had to have surgery, but it turned out i didn't. So after sitting on my ass for a few months i am back in the gym. I hope to pull 600 soon, and then the real quest begins, the quest for 700. I used to just pick the weight up and it turned into a sldl at times, but i think my form is better is now, i got some chucks, which help more than people think, and i think i can now push my hips out better and get a better dip to the bar, but we will see when the time comes to start pulling bigger weights. My training is going to inovolve alot more pulling from now on, and less squatting at this time, i am just going to squat on DE day for a while, and only squat on ME day from time to time.

nice work brother..its been awhile since ive done full pulls myself aside from speed work..itll come back to you quick!!

jcp if you want send me a clip of your deads. ill take a look and see if your form is holding you back. it could be a very small thing or you may be perfect. only one way to know for sure. exmgq@hotmail.com limit size to 10mg or less per clip. or at least film your self and lok at the clips. i do this a lot to just to keep myself in check. we always look different than we think.

I did a bunch of explosive reps at 225 adn 315. Probably like a total of 6-8 sets. And i did five singles at 405. I didn't want to put a belt on, just get the feel again. I am sure i could have pulled 500 with the belt, but it was not worth risking it. One thing i notice, and i have to disagree with Tate on this, the only way to get better pulling is to pull from time to time. Their are certain muscle i hit when i pull that i cannot hit any other way, and i notice it the first time i pull after a while.
