First off, let me say thanks for the good advice ive seen from you guys on the board.Ive learnt a lot of things. Now ive just moved gyms and the new place only has ONE standing calf machine. So i have to ry things like seated calf raises with a barbell on my knees..I was just wondering if anyone else has to do this and if so wot type of routines do you do for your calves..Im one of those unfortunate individuals whose lower legs dont respond very well to exercise..

Thanks in advance

Have you tried combining heavy seated calf raises (maybe 5x10) with donkey calf raises 3x50 and standing calf raises 10x30?

I genetically have very large calves. I would still reccomend something along the lines of what Frosty said, I am all about high reps with calves and working as hard as possible

Yep...function determines training method. The calves are mostly slow twitch by their nature (for walking, jogging, etc), so they need more reps and volume.
