I've been on TRT for about 6 weeks now and feeling a lot better. I've been stressing to the doctor that I want to have another child in 1 1/2 -2 years and asked him to put me on HCG. He referred me to urologist that told me HCG isn't proven to help keep the testes active. And that I'm crazy for being on TRT at 27 and I should stop immediately. I got a second opinion and he said he understands rust I want to start on it cause I feel so much better but he also said no HCG. Told me to just bank my sperm. I'm to the point not I don't know what to do. Do I get my own HCG. Or Do I stop and feel like shit fir the next few years until I have another child. Please help guide me

If you are sure a restart would not work for your situation then I would suggest sourcing your own HCG. Not difficult at all and really not cost prohibitive. About 2 weeks from time of order until HCG was at my door. My doc (GP) was only interested in prescribing test as well......no AI and no HCG.

Same here. No AI either. I have tried a restart with no luck. As far as HCG goes is it fine to take for that long straight. What dosage should I use.

Lots of info on here and like everything else it seems to greatly depend on the individual. I think conventional wisdom say anywhere from 500-1000iu per week in divided doses with no more than 500iu in a single dose.

I personally added 500iu per week in 84 hour 250iu doses and my boys are hanging just about like pre trt. I *think I might tweak it just a bit because the "plumpness" is still just a bit off. Might go 700iu per week in 84 hour 350iu doses.

There is a source on the net where 5000iu vials were about $16 each.

good luck with the hcg. banking your sperm is also a good idea. you probably still have a decent sperm count after only 6 weeks. i've also heard of people going to fertility clinics around the time they want to conceive and getting treated with hmg. it's like hcg but it mimics fsh which stimulates sperm production directly. maybe something to look into as well.

Just go E3D with the HCG and stop the 84 hour nonsense
Cmon.

Biggdogg.....
Some shitty docs there man. Urologist told u no way and youre nuts for being on T from 27 ?
What a jerk. He has no right to mock you like that.
Does he insult a diabetic cause they are on insulun for life?
I met scum like him. You should report his ass to the state medical board.
I hope u are injecting your test twice a week since that doc wont give u an a.i if u need it.

I have been on TRT for 6 months now and expressed the same concern to my specialist. She took me off TRT straight away and prescribed me 1500 iu of HCG 3 times a week.

I have had blood work done and it has kept my test levels in the high to normal range. Stopping the Test and switching to HCG had very little affect on how i felt. I think i was good as gold after a few weeks.

Here in Australia they believe taking HCG will increase your chance of having children, however i also believe there is other fertility drugs that can be added to the mix.

Sound like your Doc is very narrow minded and has not presented you with a solution, only created more problems :)

Ya seems like these doctors don't know anything. They started me on 200mg test cyp EOW witch I told them is crazy. The half life is maybe 8-10 days. He said this is the way we start everyone after your first labs we'll change it up My pre TRT levels were
LH 5.6 range 1.5-9.3
FSH 5.5 range 1.4-18.1
Total T 183 range 249-836
Sbgh 16 range 14-48

I agree that I'd add HCG on my own if your doctor won't prescribe. Also, when you are ready to start trying you could consult with a fertility specialist. They can prescribe an array of drugs to help with sperm count and motility. Could be HCG, HMG, Clomid or something similar. But the best option is to use HCG all along and try to prevent complete shutdown.

You have low SHBG use caution in your TRT protocols when administering meds. You will convert more T into estradiol with low SHBG. I hope you inject twice a week to lower aromatization.
