Upright Rows....

Bullseye Forever

Prince of Darkness
Whats the best bar and best hand placement with this excercise to maximize building and repairing your front delts? is a straight bar or EZ bar better and how far apart do you put your hands to help muscle growth in your fron delts...thanks all

I love upright rows do them on shoulder all the time, I don't know what tthe pros may commend as the best way but I use the squat rack, full size bar, hands about 6- 8 inches apart works great for me

well im gonna try the full size bar for a while and see if it will help me rebuild mt front delts after my surgery, thanks brother

I prefer an ez bar, shoulders get the same pounding but easier on my wrists . I go heavy and slow for bout 9 to 11 reps aim for 10 up to 120lbs.(at least its heavy for me,lol)

I know that using close grip works to help your traps as well,im wanting to try something different to help build and strenghten my front delts more

Ok help me out here? Useing upright rows to build or strengthen Front Delts? Rather than pressing movements? Why?

As for the momvement it self I preffer the easy curl bar! More comfortable on my wrists and more natural to ballance. But its about prefference either will do the job fine.

I personally hate upright rows and just do the military press. Back when I used to do upright rows though, I'd use an EZ curl bar for better balance and pick it up from the floor. I make it a point to only use the squat rack for squatting 'coz I hate it when people use the squat rack for bicep curls and upright rows! Hehe :naughty:.

I dont do upright rows anymore because everyone is now saying they are bad for your shoulders. I do overhead presses, front db raises, front plate raises mostly for front delts.

I do them every week. I like them a lot. They hit the delt and traps too. Hands 6" apart with straight bar (or ezcurl if it feels better). Hold your elbows high, like you're lifting with your elbows....this takes the stress off your elbow joints. They actually feel really good (for me) if I raise my elbows up as high as I can.
