Us customs during holidays

Do us customs get overwhelmed with the influx of packages during the holiday
Or do they staff up (wouldn't they be understaffed?)

How would LE know what customs is up to? Totally separate departments only time they are in contact is if they find something even then it`ll just be feds no local LE

Customs is busier during the holidays, they are slower, do increase their staff and are EXTRA causious.
