Using Clomid For Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) = 980 Testosterone Level

Doing the TRT thing
Using Clomid For HRT = 980 Testosterone Level

So I went to the doc to see if I can do a "restart" of my natural Testosterone after finding my T levels at a pathetic 350 ng/mL

Here is the Protocol he gave me:

-Clomid: 15 mg every other day
-Cabergoline: 0.5 mg weekly
-Vitamin D: 5,000 IU daily
-BPA Detox: Stop drinking/eating out of plastic containers
-Super Sea Veg: (This is to help your body excrete BPA)
-BONUS: Sublingual Testosterone Drops!: He gave me a small "eyedropper" bottle full of pure testosterone. (25mg per drop) He said anytime I need a "boost" I can put 3-5 drops under my tongue and get a surge of testosterone. Before the gym, before sex, before an important business presentation, etc.

The Cabergoline is to lower Prolactin levels since I came in high.

The Vitamin D is because my levels came in low in one of my previous blood tests. Raising Vitamin D will mean better T production.

Below is my bloodwork when he had me on 25mg. of Clomid per day to test my responsiveness:

BLOODWORK RESULTS AFTER CLOMID TEST:

-LH: 7.9 (1.7 - 8.6)
-FSH: 4.6 (1.5 - 12.4)

-Total Testosterone: 980 (348 - 1197)
-Estradiol: 43.9 (7.6 - 42.6)

-DHEA-Sulfate: 209 (160 - 449)
-Prolactin: 19.6 (4.0 - 15.2)
-IGF-1: 227 (117 - 329)
-SHBG: 49.7 (16.5 - 55.9)

As you can see I responded well to the Clomid which boosted my LH and FSH and shot my Testosterone through the roof.

He told me that by taking Clomid at a low dose of 15mg. every other day I can avoid the negative side effects.

He also told me that if I find any negative side effects he can switch me over to Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), but he'd rather try this first because Clomid stimulates your natural LH production... Whereas Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) only mimics LH and you are bypassing part of your hypothalamus.

Thought these results might be interesting to anyone who wants to try and restart their body's own T levels before you inject T and shut yourself down completely.

I think anyone who is thinking about testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) should do this Clomid test to see what your body is capable of... I had no idea I was able to boost my LH and T levels that high without injecting T... Pretty exciting stuff.

i dont see the part where you talk about how much better you feel?

My GP gave me a prescription for a years worth of clomid to take 25 mg per day as Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for me. I took 100mg per day for 10 days and my test went to like 670 or something.

I talked to a couple doctors and don't believe that approach would have worked for me so I went with Maximus. Maybe it will work well for you, I hope it does. My nuts just don't work is my problem. They didn't think that clomid is a long term treatment.

I wish you the best.

I guess I didn't fully read your post OP. Thought that was your Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) protocol instead of just a "re start".

I hope you get your body back in to it's own production.

One of my concerns was about going from a higher dose to the lower dose. Does he expect you to stay around 900 or is it going to drop by half?

I also didn't feel much better despite my higher test. I am assuming my free test didn't go up much or my estradiol must have gone up higher as well.

ive done Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) follow by clomid to get my levels up. i got it up to 700 but after i stopped taking it i dropped back down to low 300s and free test tanked to like 4.

So your doc is saying Super Sea Veg ® OFFICIAL SITE | Seaweed Nutrition | Sea Veg ® will extract BPA? Does he know how this works? I'm just curious because BPA is a huge problem and I drink out of plastic water jugs since I don't want to drink tap water or even filtered water which retains the flouride and whatnot which calcifies the pituitary and attracts toxic heavy metals to the brain.

This is my personal opinion, having dealt with this crap for 2 years straight on a regular basis. Your SHBG is very high. I think that is indirectly why your prolactin is high. For example I can crash my estrogen with letro and tamoxifen but if my SHBG is still high, I still feel horrible. Free testosterone is pro dopaminergic. Dopamine opposes prolactin and gives you hardons. Treat the problem directly by lowering SHBG with stanozolol if he can RX it or danazol with Maximus. I hear proviron may do something similar but I have never taken it because it is not FDA approved. That should drop your prolactin and make you a new man.

Okay look I just solved your problems now pay me. You could win the lottery and still feel like shit until that SHBG is under 20.

I did Tamoxifen for a year at 20mg and the whole time kept my test level at 1000-1100...felt great but now off 2 months my test has dropped to 660 and I feel not so good.

Cold hard facts!! and this is why clomid is not useful as a stand alone for TRT.

I feel much better but the sex drive is still not 100%. I believe this is due to my high Prolactin levels.

I also don't feel as good as when I was on T injections BUT... Since my doctor prescribed me a dose that was way too high, my T injections had me riding at like 1,500 - 2,000 ng/mL total testosterone and like 700+ free T so that's kinda hard to beat lol.

Thanks rowdybrad,

Good to hear you at least gave it a shot, so now you know that T injections are your best option.

Well, maybe I should have called it an Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) protocol, not a restart.

Technically I am restarting my natural T production, but I believe I will need to take meds/supplements indefinitely to maintain good T levels.

So you could call it an Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) protocol.

The lower dose does concern me, yes. I am getting more bloodwork done after 3 weeks on this new protocol with the lower dose and additional supplements so we'll see what happens.

He explained to me that my SHBG was probably high due to me taking Clomid every day. He said by taking it every other day and in lower doses, that my SHBG will go down which will give me more free T.

Also, the BPA detox, and Vitamin D3 will begin to take effect over the next month as well, hopefully increasing my LH & T production.

I will report back with my most recent bloodwork in about a month.

Yeah the way he explained it was, it's hard for your body to naturally excrete BPA, because every time you eat, it gets re-absorbed into your body instead of excreted.

The supplement somehow binds to the BPA and allows your body to excrete it more efficiently.

I just bought BPA-free water containers that I re-fill with tap water. I use a Brita water filter. So filtered water is no good either??

I wonder which is worse, the filtered water or drinking out of containers that contain BPA. I'm guessing the BPA though.

Maybe a higher-quality, more expensive water filtration system will be more effective instead of the cheap plug-in Brita Filters on my water faucet.

Thanks for the heads up on the SHBG. I definitely want to get that lowered. My doc said that by lowering the Clomid dose that the SHBG levels would drop. So hopefully that's the case.

Wow, have you ever tried Clomid instead? Why did you get off? I'm assuming you'll be getting back on very shortly

Never tried clomid..came off becouse I wanted to see if my levels would hold and because my Dr said it is not a good drug to be on long term..I would love to go back on but now I just have to see what my Dr says.

Are you planning on taking clomid long term?

Okay that makes sense.

I just plan on seeing how I feel after a few months on this protocol. If I feel good them I suppose I'd keep using it.

My doctor said I always have the option to switch over to HCG as well. So If I have any negative effects from Clomid then I will switch.

Tamoxifen definately did its job for the entire year I was on..never had any sides...I will probably look into hcg as I dont want to go right into complete Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) at my age.

True, but it can help with a restart. i didnt really have a chance anyways cause i have low T due to a motorcycle accident where i injured my testicles.

I have been on H.R.T. for nine years and the doctor has me use hcg 500 iu. twice each week.Everything works as normal and I can still lift 75% of what I lifted in my late 20's and early 30's, just higher reps.I am now 63 and using 200mg cyp. a week along with occasional deca for my bones and so forth. No more big stacks but I do enjoy the peptides.

Ill be following this thread. My Dr. started me on clomid at 50mil tab once a day. along with Vit D. Not sure what to expect as far as gym/bedroom performance..

Awesome, let us know how that works. I'm assuming you'll be getting bloodwork done.

I've got my bloodwork coming up in 2 weeks so I'll be sure to post it here.
