Using your leg workout to help smaller muscles grow?

Yes I don't know if this is true, but I have heard this before. Some guys don't focus much on legs, but the more experienced guys have told me that when you work your legs hard your body will make an extra boost of testosterone caused by the intense strenuous activity then your body can utilize that for all your muscles.
 
i've heard about the boost in GH from squat/deadlift workouts, but never heard of working smaller muscles afterwards to untilize that hormone boost. with that said, i'm going to do some readin and asking around, and maybe do an experiment/trial run with this idea to test it.
 
you have to work your legs HARD if you want a good increase in GH, but yeah, it helps. this is one reason a lot of people stack a day for smaller muscle groups after the legs with no rest.... benefit from the elevated levels.

a good way to help release the GH is to do training specifically to build a ton of a lactic acid in your muscles. go very slow reps, etc.
