Vials and metal detector.

Hey guys,
I need to travel on a domestic flight in australia with 4 x 10ml vials. Will they set off the metal detector. My braces never used to set them off surely there can't be much more metal than the braces. Lol.

Peel the labels off and make some new ones that say vitamin B-12 for IM use

They will not set off the metal detector. However, they will show up on the xray machine. The metal detectors look for iron in magnetic metals. Thats why gold, stainless steel, titanium body implants and such dont set off metal detector. Besides, there is very little metal on the tops of your vials.
But that aside, i would mail them, or put them in bottles with screw on tops. Label them massage oil. You can even get screw on tops with a septa in them (the rubber thing that you stick a needle through)

Yeah I wanted to mail them but the person I'm staying with won't allow it. If it won't set of the detector I can just stick them in my pants!

I dunno if they have them there or not but here in the US we have the body scanners that take an x ray of you. If the do have that they would see it. That's why I said if the do you're screwed and if you took off labels and replaced it with B12 you'd be set.

I agree with vengeance, here in the us, you are instructred to empty your pockets before going through the scanner. If you dont take them out of your pockets, the xray scanner will see them, then you will be asked to take them out of your pockets. Where are you traveling to? Why dont you ship them to a post office to pick up.
Or just ship them to your destination and dont tell them youre going to do it. Ship right before you leave so they arrive while you are there.

Yeah man haha I'm doing that. Just express posting them to myself. I always have parcels arriving do they won't know the difference. We don't have x ray machines, just metal detectors. I'll try make up some sort of b 12 label and post them.

Even a b12 label id be parnoid ,what if they test it? And they'd start asking questions , and I don't know about all b12 but the stuff I've used before was red......

I would ship and hold at post office....

Is there any metal impurity in the Vial? If so, it will set off metal detector.
