Vials and Pins with TSA / Airport Security

Long story short - mine is the same as everyone else. Went to Doc, ordered blood work, referred to Endocrine... Endocrine referred me to a nutritionist.. When the nutritionist report came back and he was happy the Endocrine referred me to a Pulmonologist - after I passed the sleep study Endocrine wanted to put me on gel. I asked about becoming sterile, doctor wasn't sure... Had to look into it more so they ordered another set of blood work (Just to kill some time I think)

I turned to the internet for answers, found most, one exception. I travel 5-6 days a week, every week. I often have 2 or 4 flights per day. I am in the airport a LOT. I hit the standard random screening about 1x a week, I hit the advanced screening about 1x a month. I do have global entry, so I do get a "Free pass" at some airports, but not all participate in the global entry system.

So I guess the source doesn't matter - how is the airport w/you bringing on vials / pins? Is all of the RX info on the vials when you receive them from sources that claim they are coming from Doctors? Anyone else deal with this?

I am on a plane 2x per week and have no issues at all. As soon as they see it is meds that don't even bat an eye. They are not allowed to give anyone a hard time over their meds whatsoever, they could be liable.

Hope this helps

Carry on I assume? Do you have to separate the vial out as a liquid in the clear plastic baggie? I'd like to keep it as discreet as possible.

you might, just out of paranoia, copy your scripts and carry them with you. that way, there's NO way they should hassle you - and if they do, that's a good grounds for complaint. ("I had a clear script and was still hassled about my medicine")

How would you copy your scripts? The pharmacy is suppose to take your script when they fill it, it is US law to label all meds, there is no need to carry your script anywhere, it is on the bottle.

I have personally traveled on several international flights and never have had a problem. I always put all my medications and syringes in my carry on with me. There has been times where TSA has looked at my medications but never have said a word. I've noticed that the folks that are on Prescription Testosterone have some belief that hey are going to get in trouble. Hello my friends you have a prescription!!! Let me ask you this... If you had been diagnosed with severe Anxiety disorder and the Doctor prescribed you Ativan would you be afraid to step on the plane with those medications? Probably not because for some reason us guys think that that might be more socially acceptable. Apparently some of us have a guilty conscience....hahah
