Visa Gift Card is not working!

So i need to buy some bac water and i bought a $20 Visa Gift card to purchase the BAC online. I've tried 5 different places that accept cc but none will go thru using this gift card! any ideas?

I asume that you paid the activation fee when you got it ?
You have to go to the website and register it before you can use it online.
I think with Visa you only need to put a postal code but I'm not 100% on that...

I can tell you why

I am a merchant processor of high risk online transactions for Visa and MasterCard

The reason is most overseas banks don't accept US Pre Paid Debit cards as part of their processing. Sometimes my customers will call with one and I will have to run it through my US account to get it approved then credit my merchants account.

there should be a web site behind the card go on it and then just activate it

Trust me on this one, activate it all you want, most processors overseas don't accept prepaid cards

Why do you think he's trying to make an overseas purchase? You can order locally and yes you have to go online and register the card or call and do so to make online purchases. This means providing you name,addy, social security number, etc. After that you will have no problem.

You are correct

most of these companies can be local but use a overseas processor, like 99.9% of the porn sites I process for is local but we need to process them over in the UK due to Visa and MC rules, the customer most of the time will never know where the transaction is coming from.

If he registers the card and it still don't work, that is the reason.
