Vitamin D and TRT

Okay. I've noticed several people saying watch your vit D levels or make sure to take vitamin D when on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). I just had blood work done and my vit D level was low. I thought it was because I don't drink milk, but now I'm thinking it has something to do with my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). Can anyone shed some light on this for me please?

Lots on line on this.

How much do you think is good to supplement then? I'm on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) also, but never had this issue yet, that i know of.

I have found nothing online that says testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) causes a vitamin D deficiency. I can only figure that low vitamin D is a common problem whether your on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) or not.

This is one of the most important aspects of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). Many doctors will prescribe Vitamin D, normally you wouldn't see your GP prescribing a vitamin.

So this tells you how important it is regardless.

The problem is not always that you do not get enough vitamin D (25 Hydroxy) it does not convert to Calcitriol (1,25 Dihydroxyvitamin D3) which has 1,000 x the affinity to the receptor.

Also you can convert too much, causing inflammation in the body, and most chronic diseases are related to inflammation.
