Want To Loose Fat Asap

Decent Size

New member
Well i just started working out again. I stopped for 3 years and now im getting back in to it. In the past 3 years i lost everything and with that im now a lil fat in the stomach and hips. plus a lil back fat. It comes from all the fast food and beer. IM 6 foot weigh around 180 give or take. My goal is to loose the fat and pack on the muscle. I want to weigh around 210 again. With a nice stomach. I mean im a pretty slender guy with a flabby stomach and hips. It looks like crap. I have never been this fat before. If you guys could help me in the right direction. On what to eat, suppliments, when to eat. And any other advice. Basically I want to be big and lean. Where should I start. Thanks in advance.

How fat can you be at 180 lbs and 6 foot tall.......Thats skinny by any standards. Read some of the stickys and get back to us.

I did read the stickys. But it did not give me any ideas on what food to eat besides eggwhites, oatmeal. & lean protein foods. but im not sure what all those foods are nor when to eat them, meaning time of day. Plus i dont understand some of the things the sticky is saying. And im not saying im a huge fat guy by anymeans. Im just out of shape. And flabby. like right now i would not take my shirt off at the beach. Im embarrassed. Mainly im mad at my situation that i caused. I just need a quick run down of a good diet/and healthy foods. That i can combine with looseing fat and gaining muscles.

any and all lean meats cooked in the oven/grilled/baked/george foreman/etc.
any and all green vegetables cabbage/lettuce/broccoli/spinach/green beans/etc.
limit carbs to low glycemic ones [ do a search but heres a few ] oatmeal/whole grain foods/swet potato/etc.
try to eat 4-6 small meals a day and start a reasonable workout program .

the less processed the food, the better chance its gonna be its a good food choice. also, the less ingredients on the box, the better. Better yet, food that doesnt come in a box.

think top sirloin or ground beef vs baloney.
oatmeal vs fruit loops
natural peanut butter, or nuts vs mayonaise and ranch dressing

Don't mix carbs and fat. pro/carb or pro/fat meals...

Don't eat carbs within 3 hours of bedtime.

OK how does this sound.
breakfast=bowl of oatmeal/maybe eggwhites

lunch= salad low fat dressing. myoplex protein shake.

hit gym.=workout

pwo= myoplex shake.

dinner=chiken breast or steak or fish/green beans/sweet potatoes.

bed time.

workout=
mon=back & tri
tue=legs & abs
wed=off
thur=chest & bi
fri=shoulders

weekend off.
(no cardio ever)

Explain why you can't do both. I do. What does mixing carbs and fats do?

And why not eat carbs within 3 hours of bedtime....it's the macros that matter, not when you eat them.

The idea is that if you spike your insulin levels (with carbs) and are eating fat, you are giving your body more opportunity to store the fat you are consuming. I personally think that it's overrated for the average person, but I would consider it if I was competitive. For most though, low cals + cardio + some "fat burning" supps is more than enough, I see no reason to complicate things.

I see. Thanks.

I'm not convinced on the no carb 3 hours before bed though.

Although I do mix carbs and fats sometimes.....(ezekiel bread with almond butter) I don't do it often, and that is probably why I am still pretty succesful when trying to lose body fat.

This is more of an amount issue and type of macro....

we get up in arms about combining fats + carbs but are you honestly going to tell me that eating a 8 oz. Sirloin steak and potato is going to cause you to get fat just because your combining the two? Maybe if you overate but not because of whats in there.

You guys make this way to complicated its just not that hard

You need a protein source, carbohydrate source, and some good fats at each meal. We should all know what each of these are
