Water depletion techniques

I am new to the forums and have found them very informative and full of great information and help.

I was hoping the readers could help me with a question. I have competed in the past and have always used a gradual water depletion technique. I.E, 3 gal Wed, 2 gal, Thurs, 1 gal or less Fri, but no matter how many damn Teraxatones I take, I always find myself holding water. I am pretty confident my card depletion/ carb up technique is not the problem, I think it is the water depletion technique that is doing it to me.

So my question is this. I am going to give Dyazide a shot this time but in doing that, are there any recommendations for water depletion? I have read elsewhere here that some people have luck drinking loads of water all the way up to Friday at noon then cutting it out cold turkey.

Has anyone tried this technique versus the old school theory of tapering?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Take care.

Water depletion works different for every one. It depends on how much your body is holding as well. I've had success doing the tapering methods sometimes but then other times, that didn't seem to work for me. I don't get any results at all from Taraxatone and others seem to do really well with it. Now, in terms of the amount of water that you were drinking during your tapering, I think that was far too much. A gallon on Friday? That's like 4 litres isn't it? In my opinion that's far too much.
The only diuretic I've used thus far is Aldactazide and I really liked it. Dyazide is a popular choice though.
I'm sure there are more people that will give you their input on this issue.
One more thing, in dropping your water, it's best to try different methods far in advance to the show and see what methods work for you. Rather than risking looking all watery on stage. ;)
