Hello all ,

I really need help and don't want to type a paper so I want to make it short and sweet.

After benching and doing chest last week I felt a pain in my shoulder (when I raise my arm above my shoulder, as if I was going to reach for the ceiling laterally or in front of my I get pain)

the pain last week wasn't that bad, I worked out today and it was more intense I had to stop working out.

This happened to me about 2 years ago and my boss at my job who supposedly studied physical therapy said it was a rotary cuff tear (minor)

I think he was right but I don't remember if I took a month of or a week off?

Can someone please tell me what this is? and if so how do I train around this? I am bulking up lifting slightly heavy for compound movements but I am willing to lift light I just want to keep working out I am in a mid cycle with test cyp.

How long should I rest? When I return to working out how should I train? The pain level was a 7 out of 10 but now a hour later after gym its about a 5.

Thanks Adam

Ya, rotator for sure I'd say. Mine got really bad last year. I only took a week off then when I went back just kept it light for a bit. Can go lighter and maybe do higher reps to still get a good pump.

I ALWAYS make a point now to warm up my rotator cuffs before every workout. Never used to do that and I think that made it easier to injure it.

Thanks yea last year I did the same thing and took about a week of it already feel 50% better I think ima just take a week off and go light

are you able to see a dr? minor tears become major tears fast. found out the hard way when I snapped my acl during a martial arts test (insert kicked my own ass joke here) bedrest and physical therapy are NOT the way to bulk!

for the copay I'd see an orthopedic. if you can.

This is why I am telling you to stay the hell off of it. Keep pushing it and you will be fucked! Do any exercise that does not bother it. Let it heal!

Lol I am off f it haven't trained in 5 days it doesn't bother me at all when sleeping or idle when I put my arm up above my head I can feel discomfort but not really pain so I is healing

my husband did the same thing. he rested it for about a week and now he's just careful to really warm it up a lot before getting heavy. he said it's the only way he can do it without pain now :/ injuries reallysuck

Rotator cuffs suck llol I injured mine doing handstands.

You know now that I think abotu it I think I injured it from doing pushups while in a hand stand up against a wall LOL. I was watching the movie Con Air and seen the guy with the long hair doing it while locked up and I was thinking I wonder if I can do that? I think that may have conributed to it lol.
