Okay so as I said before my doctor is sending me to a Urologist in May. I am not very confident that a Urologist will do anything for me other than give me some cialis. I mentioned to her months ago about the Mens Master Clinic here in Ontario and she said they would likely turn me down because they only deal with old men. So I believed her. Anyways I contacted them and told them my story and how I am only 20. They told me they would like to work with me, but because they are the only TRT clinic in Ontario they have a huge waiting list. They told me I would probably be close to a year before seeing them. I am going to make an appointment to see my doctor and tell her to refer me asap to them. I also want to talk to her about this Urologist she is sending me to because maybe she knows something about him that I don't. I also want new bloods done. Here is what I was thinking though. If it is going to be a year before I can see a true male hormone specialist do you guys think it would be a decent idea to run another restart. Last time I took clomid for a month and it did have an affect on me...no crazy but it did raise my T up. This time I was thinking about doing a longer restart over a course of 2-3 months. Looking at using clomid and nolva or clomid and toremifene as I have read it is safer than nolva and works better. Let me know what you think guys! Its just some ideas as I do not feel like waiting a whole year without trying something!

I think you should work with your doctors on this. Don't self medicate. And get new blood work to. If I recall, yours is a little outdated.

Yes sir it is outdated! Hopefully this time I can get her to call up LH and FSH as well. Ya I know its not great to self medicate its just kind of a last resort. I don't want to stand around with my thumb up my ass if doctors will not help me. I know the TRT Clinic would help me correctly but that will be a long wait. I've already lived 1 year of low t symptoms. I don't know if I can bare a second year of them. I do agree though I would much rather work with doctors but like I said I just don't see this Urologist doing much for me other than saying here is some Cialis for your boner problems. I will wait until May and see what the Urologist says. But if they do nothing I'm kind of in a shitty spot.

JT I know your T might be a little low but still you need to put your foot down with this doc.

Does this urologist have experience dealing with male issues ?
good rule of thumb is to go to rate mds and look up the ratings on the doc u are going to see.
I only know of a couple urologists with experience in male hormones and I wont name them in an open forum.

Not sure. I do know that he has a super high rating! Im going to talk to my doctor about this doc she is sending me to

I would run a lab ASAP on FULL blood panels. Sorry bro you need to get Estradiol, SHBG, TT, Bio Avail. T, FSH, LH, Prolactin, TSH, Cortisol e.t.c. done.. Your doc has excluded way too many variables that can have an effect on endogenous T. Come back here and tell us the results. Most likely you would need to wait till at least May when you see this urologist. Don't take anything till you know what you are dealing with in him. Don't mess with your blood panels right before seeing him.

this is a positive thing. Last endo I was sent to had a terrible rating and the visit matched the rating he had.
He told me that 173 ng/dl TT is not an abnormal T level for a young man even with LOW Free T.
Dirt bag!!!

DO NOT mention anything about working out nor what you took. I made this mistake once to my GP and he acted like my friend and it appeared to me he never wrote this down as he was talking to me but once he left the room he made notes and he forwarded them last year to my endo telling him exact dosage I used.
live and learn.....

Why not tell him. Like it will help diagnose the issue that caused this. Like I didn't willingly take it. It was an accident so I doubt he will say I am a steroid user because im not

What I took at 25 was an "accident" too....but accidents get recorded.

Agree with Apollon.
Took the pro hormone Tren when I was 18, 5 years back when they were "legally" sold at the nutrition stores.
Didn't know it was the precursor to a steroid.
Doc still recorded it as steroid usage caused hypogonadism.

Still, if you feel he will only give you treatment if you tell him then you might want to do so if you've already Doc shopped.

JT: can you remind me what your TT is at? For some reason I thought you only had slightly below normal TT for your age - but not hypogonadal levels. Am I recalling this correctly? And don't you have identified thyroid problems that you are addressing?

Or am I confusing you with someone else.

I had three blood tests last spring/ early summer. The highest i got was 348ng. My doc then gave me clomid 50mg a day for 5 weeks. I waited 6 weeks after taking clomid and my levels were 495. That was in september. I am going to get new bloods. I am quite sure they have dipped down low again because I'm feeling it getting worse

My lowest reading was something like 304 or 306? one of those. only like 50ng from being below "normal" on the scale

In Canada there are 3 main labs we use. Bottom end of normal on TT for each one is: 6 nmol/l(173 ng/dl), 7.6 nmol/l(219ng/dl), and 8.4 nmol/l(242 ng/dl).
It's not like the US where anything below 348 ng/\dl is confirmed hypogonadism. It's a little rougher up here for a doc to help you out. By the time you go down to levels of 173 ng/dl....you'll be feeling like real shit!!!!
In fact I was told by an Endo I was "normal" with my TT at 6.4 nmol/l
Love the socialized medicine!!!!
Even Nazi Germany took care of their soldiers better than what most folks here get. At least they got T jabs!!!

His TT was 17.2 nmol/l (495 ng/dl) last time he checked. He's gonna have a rough time.
I had exactly his T levels when I was younger and doing a cycle with LH at 2 IU/L and FSH at 1 IU/L a year after stopping...
endo didn't give a fuck. He said Take care and have a nice life.

I think your best course of action JT in all honesty is do immediate FULL labs and see this urologist and IF he brushes you off and says you are fine e.t.c.
Get on some clomid 50 mg EOD and stay on it for 4 months at least.
You been living with this bs for a while now and it ain't helping your psych.
