I have brought my composition up naturally over the last 4 years by doing these things:
having a highly trained olympic lifting trainer/coach, 3 times a week, 2 hours each workout.
Figuring out all my food allergies:
wheat
soy
tapioca
lactose
garlic
chocolate
Not restricting calories the entire time I have lifted.
When I first started lifting I was 6'9" 364 lbs 245 lb lean body mass.
My body is now at 400 lbs, 300 lb lean body mass.
The last two years I have been in a very slow crawl due to low T which I am just beginning treatment for.
gaining 25 lbs of muscle is harder than losing 50 lbs of fat, and yet everyone is always watching their food intake and not eating enough.
My goal is to be 400 lbs of muscle, which is why I never lost any weight. Also because I am tall, having the extra weight will be required to get my deadlift towards the bigger numbers.
so my advice is:
hire a good trainer and then fucking listen to them. I watch people with my coach, they pay good money, and they simply don't do what he says, and there is a reason why I have passed so many people up.
I still have a long way to go.
